So the "Bought The Farm" post has got me thinking about the possible interest in a meet and greet. I know it's been done before with, I think, pretty good success. I know we don't have as many regular contributing members as we once did but the ones we have seem to be great guys. I know in the off-season I'm always looking for hunting related things to do when I'm not scouting or hiking. I'm probably one of the farthest north guys we have here in Jefferson county but I'm willing to travel as long as it's not in whiteout conditions. Just trying to gauge the interest and maybe help get the ball rolling. Let me know if the interest is there. Thanks guys! Sent from my moto g power (2022) using Tapatalk2 points

Glad to see the "Bought The Farm " post generated, into great idea. Sure would be nice meeting up with a fine bunch of people. I think something like this went on maybe 6 or 7 years ago with great success. Not going to be able to make this go around, but sure would like to give the next, a try. Maybe we can start a thread on here during the event, for those of us that can't be there in person. Live from the Greet and Meet2 points

.62 Caliber smoothbore, maybe I should try for turkeys with this one, HAH! I really enjoy making these things and their associated accoutrements. I'm old and retired but it helps keep me in the game. The concept for this site is a good one but there doesn't seem to be a lot of participation so I thought this subject might draw some out of the shadows.I love this state and Have hunted it for seventy + years, I just hate what the filthy socialists have done to it! I had a similar issue with one of my trucks. The smoke test is probably the best bet and can still cost quite a bit. Once the first problem is found and fixed there could be another one that could throw a code, resulting in another test and another part replacement. The other issue I ran into was the part that needed replacing (fuel pump module) could not be replaced without the truck being reprogrammed. It was exposed and easy to get to and probably a fifteen minute job at the most. If I would have replaced it myself I would have had to have it towed to a dealer for reprogramming. They don't make them to work on them anymore without a computer. Good Luck1 point

They use the little tiny ones. The pic’s are sent directly to your cell phone. There are Trail Cam’s and they use the SD cards you have to check of course and then the cell’s that you never have to be around them except for battery replacement.1 point

Got bumped off yesterday, January 2nd;, wouldn't load back up . Thought for a moment, it was curtains for the site. I don't know how I could have thought such a thing. Working good now. Anyone one else experience technical difficulties?1 point

Sounds good to me, if the weather cooperates. I’ll roll it in with an ice fishing trip to my in-laws. Things are looking good now for good ice. I don’t see any warm temps in the long range forecast.1 point

How do you guys feel about Sunday February 16th at 11am at the Brewer Union Cafe in Brewerton with a backup of Feb 23rd if the weather is to Bad? Sent from my moto g power (2022) using Tapatalk1 point

Myself I have like 16 Spypoint’s and have had great luck with them. I did have one that would leak in heavy rain. Would dry out and work fine again but was a pain. I also have 12 of the Walmart special Tasco cams with the cards for most of the public land spots. $28 is not much of a hit when the walk off the tree.1 point

I can think of a good central location for upstate NY. They also have the best Reuben sandwiches that I’ve ever had. That would be the Brewer Union Cafe on Bartel rd in Brewerton NY. It is about 15 minutes north of the I-90, just off I-81. I can be there in two hours from home in WNY, and about the same from my in-laws up in the Dacks.1 point

Like four seasons mentioned above, these items are the most likely culprets. But... Im sure you dont want to spend more than you have to on this issue. Being that it is a NY vehicle, there is the possibility that the fill pipe or the top of the fuel pump rotted a hole through it also. It would probably be best to smoke the system and check for leaks before buying any parts for it. You may find a rot hole somewhere or a stuck open vent valve. Very common on those GM's1 point

So, somebody must be watch-dogging this site to keep it running and get it back up when it goes down.1 point

I am a little concerned that they (i.e., the Dems) still may have something up their sleeve to try to block Trump from being inaugurated; sure hope not, but I worry....1 point
