I remember I was in college, just got out of the shower and roommates were fired to the TV...I thought it was fake. And then I remember just crying for family that I later find out either didn't go to work that day or were safe after all was gone; because at that time I couldn't fathom how evil can be so real in this world. I think we all remember exactly where we were that morning. Can't believe it's been 21 years. God bless all those who gave aid and those who lost their lives and loved ones. Never forget.

Damn. Thanks.

Antlerless opener coming up - you hunting it ?
NYRturkeycall replied to Northcountryman's topic in Deer Hunting
Yessir I'll be out in 1C next Sunday with my stand and my bow and my Jack...family time Saturday but it's not the real opener so all good. Hope to put a decent doe in the freezer. -
Feel better and recover quickly. Try whittling....you'll get lost for hours before you know it. The end result will pay off, because you did it, and help your patience in the stand if you need it.

No lottery for public tags. The shotgun season in January is a pain in the arse with reservations and whatnot, but certain places you don't need a reservation or even a daily access permit. You just need to make sure you're the first one in the parking spot.

What will you be carrying for Opening Day?
NYRturkeycall replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Rifle and Gun Hunting
My bow. 1C bow only for the early antlerless and regular season. Shotgun comes January 1st. Rifle opener in the southern zone I will be carrying either my 308 or my 20 gauge slug gun. -
I hear you on that. Family is what it's all about. But I even have some family telling me if we were to be the ones to start they would all be soon behind. Who knows. I just keep watering that seed a little by little. Good for your nephew. Although even that state isn't looking too great along the border and major cities. But it's better than here. Good luck to him.

I've been doing everything I can to convince my wife to move somewhere out of state on 100 acres and a semi-sustainable homestead. We don't even like people lol
