Yeeee Haaaaaaa , I found the de-cocking arrow .

Got the X-Bow out and plan to give it a try tomorrow in Geneseo tomorrow . I shot 6 practice arrows and feel confident at 30 yards . I am going to try using the 2 man chair blind and my Bi-Fur pod shooting sticks . The only problem I have is I can't find my de-cocking bolt . I know that it is in a safe place somewhere between the Garage and the House ......

I got out the X-Bow and shot 3 arrows at 20 and 3 more at 30 . Looks okay . I will give it a try tomorrow but will be hunting from the ground .

I hate the time change also . Going to have to start getting up earlier . Yuck !

I popped a couple more Doan's Pills and went to my friend's property in Walworth . I was in the stand by 3:30 . The swamp had encoached quite a bit on the land and the trail was under water . Didn't see any ducks on the water and it was real quiet except for the kennel dogs barking a mile away . At 5:10 I saw a lone doe sneaking through the woods about 50 yards behind me . With the leaves gone I could see quite a bit in different directions . At 5:45 , I heard some splashing and saw 2 doe heading my way . They were directly down wind of me and the lead doe knew where I was . They changed direction and headed across at about 30 yards . I was tempted to take a shot but it was overcast and dark in the woods and I knew there were saplings between us . I didn't want to do anything stupid so I just watched them go off in the distance . Al least I saw something .

If the picture height is more than the picture width , they usually post sideways . At least that is what I have seen .

Probably as the tags are 1st come 1st served .

I havn't been out since last Saturday am . Tomorrow afternoon doesn't look good with rain in the forecast . Will re-check the weather forecast in the am . My back has been bothering me for the past 3 days and I am praying that it isn't another Kidney Stone . I don't want to go through that again !

I just checked mine by the computer . Freezer is 9.2 degrees ......

Had a couple dozen kids show up tonight . A few years ago I had 108 ........

Speed doesn't kill , accuracy does . A crossbow in the hands of someone who doesn't practice is worthless .

I seldom shoot mt 25-06 or shotguns . I should shoot my 20 ga Savage bolt action much more as I still havn't gotten used to the accu trigger .

I would consider this a part of hunting gear as I will always carry it in my car when I hunt . My youngest son , Nick , is someone who is pretty much up on electrical gear . He showed me how he jumped a dead battery to start his Lawn Mower . It thought it was pretty neat but didn't want to spend $100 for something I might never use . I bought an AntiGravity XP1 jump starter / power supply kit like he has and put it under the car seat . Last week after a morning hunt I sat in the car with the radio on . I had to have the key turned on in order to do this . I was checking emails and Tapatalk and then put the phone away . I turned the key to start the car and no luck . Oh crap ! I forgot the headlights were on also . I turned them off and tried again but no luck . I got out the case with the Jump Starter , hooked it up , hit the button , got in the car and it started right up . What a relief ! Not stranded in a field . These things have connectors that cords that allow you to charge other things like a phone , etc . I am not pushing any brand . I only got this because two of my sons have this make and model . There are other brands that are probably as good or maybe even better .
