I have had 4 opportunities to take a shot at 4 four point bucks and never raised the bow at any of them . I would sooner take a doe or a bigger buck . I may end up eating buck tags but my family won't starve if that happens . Toward the end of gun season or ML season , I might change my mind . Last year I shot 4 doe and had no reason to take any small deer .

I bought one of the Tri-Pod stands and had a spot where I planned to put it but ...... with the rain and the water having no where to go , it was just too wet to install it . The area is too muddy . Even putting it on 2 X 8's would be a problem as they would rot .

I doubt that you see it . The view is "from the stand" ...........

Went back to Geneseo and sat in my double stand by the Buffalo Ditch . Was there in pitch black and didn't see anything all morning . Started my coughing spell at 10:30 and left at 11 . Couldn't play the wind in any of the stands . Texted my youngest son who was hunting with his brother in Mendon . Neither saw any deer but Nick said he saw 2 coyotes . Once it started raining I wasn't about to go back out .

Sitting in a double stand in Geneseo. It is so quiet in the woods. The wind is not in my favor . When I left home I saw 2 doe just off the side of the road about a quarter mile from my house . The guy that mows the trails for the gvhc cut them since Wednesday . I wonder if that will affect the deer travel . Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I needed the extra tags last year . I shot 2 doe during gun season and two more during ML season .

Don't know as I need the extra tags if I can't fill the ones I already have . It is my understanding that the tags are good from Nov 1 thru the end of deer season .

Sat in a stand in Geneseo this am from 6:45 to 10 am . Had 2 doe and a fawn feeding in the neighbor's field from 8:15 to 8:30 . That was it . I acquired a col and felt pretty crappy . Took a walk to the woods and checked out the cameras . When I unlocked on of them , the locking tab was broken and the SD card was gone . This is my SILs property and the same woods where 6 posted signs were removed . Someone is screwing around here . I helped my SIL with a couple jobs and left . Stopped at WalMart and got some medication for the cold . Sat in my stand on a friend's property in Walworth for almost 3 hours and saw zilch . Going to rest up tomorrow as I feel terrible !

I will be off to Geneseo again tomorrow morning . I hope the farmer has the beans combined so I can take the ATV to the woods . THe grass is high and it's like a swamp trying to get past the pond . If I tried , I would probably bury the ATV . The pond leaks and the water has no where to go but just lay there . It has been too wet for the guy who mows the trails for the GVHC ( Tally Ho the Fox ) . If the beans are down , I can ride around it .

Has anyone used Trimmer String to alter the weight of their arrows ? I recall reading an article where they added weight to the arrows by cutting some Trimmer String , pulling off the nock and putting the Trimmer String inside . I have some carbon arrows that are 56 grains lighter than my hunting arrows . I will have to give it a try .

I have the Outdoor Channel but don't watch it .......... Hunting shows have too many commercials and it irritates me to watch someone shoot a deer and then show it again and have the guy explain what just happened . I saw it .... I don't need to listen to a lot of needless BS . What's the big deal about going to a Game Ranch , having them set up stands or shooting boxes over a food plot where the owner knows where the deer come out . After shooting a deer , they often still whisper and when tracking the shooter is so surprised when he spots the downed deer . There is the camera man standing on the other side of the deer filming the excited shooter as he approaches the dead deer . Gimmee a break ! Hank Parker sounds like he has a mouth full of crap and I could never stand Jackie Bushwhacker from Buckmasters .

I agree . With my luck the deer would probably hang around and I would get busted letting down on the draw .
