In the tree, i saw several small bucks chasing around nov 1st.. even rattled in my first buck ever, nov 5th a small 6 point that i didnt shoot, but was very cool none the less, a buddy shot him out of the same set opening of gun. Nov 13th, my wife took a 10 minute video of a 7 and a big 9 in our neighborhood near Syracuse university battle it out for a hot doe, who subsequently ran the winner into rush hour traffic( all deer survived).

i rattles in a small 6 in early November this year. I dont even bring the rattle bag with me during gun season though, ive had way better luck with callls and scents in general before the regular season starts.. once gun opens i leave all that stuff home and hunt escape routes

I shopped everything last summer when i bought my new one.. I really liked the pse brute, and the price tag.. i ended up with a Hoyt Rampage XT. check archerytalk classifieds, alot of good deals on there this time of year

Very nice. Im gonna take off Friday with the bow, and im thinking about carrying iy after opening weekend some as well. Itd be nice to get into some smaller pieces i cant gun hunt on later in the season Best of luck

bucks on the move on our properties in 7m and 7f.. i had 2 bucks sparring in my neighborhood 3 days ago at 4pm in the city of syracuse.. The winner ran a doe through traffic

Back in 08, i spotted what was my biggest buck ever out in a field with a doe that he would not leave. After jumping them, and tracking into a thicket, i got a broadside shot at 100 yards with my 30-06. Pulled up and the gun went click.. i loaded the clip but didnt put one in the chamber. Thankfully i shoot a pump rifle, and buried him once i got a round in the gun..

I sat all day Tuesday without so much as seeing or hearing a deer.. That said, its early November, n o telling when they'll walk by. Its definitely time to be in a tree

ive seen alot of YOUNG fawns with their mom's still this year, im wondering if that means the doe's will come into rut later?

Things are cookin in region 7 as well, had bucks running all over this weekend, even rattled in my first buck ever. I'll take early November cold fronts over Christmas, my birthday, new years, and all the other holidays combined.

Fletch they are out there man. Though this last 2 weeks has been so shitty weathwer wise, i only saw deer on one of 8 sits... where the 1st 2 weeks of the season i couldnt go an hour without at least seeing some. This saturday should be solid weather wise.. perfect day to be in a tree

I gambled and didn't go this am, but snuck out of my office about 1130(before the noon crowd) and picked up 2 additional 7f dmp's. i don't think i'll need the venison, but i'll fill and donate at least one of em.. How did everyone else make out?

Tommorow looks nice, but Saturday is gonna be perfect, far as i can tell... cold and sunny in early november, doesnt get any better
