  1. Lee, so sorry to hear of your entire beard and spur loss, that must of been a hard pill to swallow!!!
  2. Working on a web-site, but want to get enough stock on hand before taking that plunge. I have several beard displays made up now, and working on some spurs displays as we speak. Trying to hook up with Midwest Supply for a custom beard display using their logo. Shoot me a PM. Thanks for the compliments...really appreciate them!!! These beard boards come with 12 highly polished shells to show off your beards handsomely.
  3. Guess mine is an easy one as well. "may" for the month of May, and "tom" for the male turkey, hence "maytom"!!!
  4. Lee, first off glad that it got to you safe and sound. And yes, it look's awesome on your wall with all your beards!!! Thanks again for your kind words on my work....it's a personal satisfaction to see someone else enjoy what you made out of wood. Thanks again buddy.....Paul
  5. WTG for you and your dog!!!
  6. Not a fan of hunting in rain. It can be tuff trying to stay in a stand hours on end hoping for a chance at a nice buck. Then whip in some rain and now it turns into an endurance test. Yes, I have one of those umbrella's for the tree stand but, even then the water still gets by where you tie the straps around the tree. Everything gets soaked, not fun or something that I want to try to endure for hours on end, yet alone, like mentioned the loss of a blood trail. To each his own though, it may be the only chance you have to get out there. Being retired I can be selective on which days I want to hunt.
  7. Was out doing some in-season scouting the other day and came across a nice scrape right under a pine branch. The best part is there was an awesome place to put up a stand little less than 20 yards away!!!
  8. That's the rifle I ended up getting a couple of years ago in .308 cal. Real tac shooter
  9. Years ago I use to use the 100 gr. Rocket Hammerheads, flew like darts, but those small little rubber bands left me cold!!! I have since switched to the Rage brand and haven't looked back. I first got their 3 bladed heads, only to find out that they are illegal here in NY. Why they didn't remove them off the shelves at that time, I don't know. Would od saved me a bunch of money since I bought two 3-paks!!! So the two bladed ones I currently own now.....
  10. Very true!!! Might as well spend the money on a good coat up front, rather than go with a cheaply made coat. Two items that are a must......Thinsulate insulation and a Gore-Tex layer, for being wind and water proof!!!
  11. Nothing like having a live decoy right below you!!!
  12. When I strap mine to my climber, the weight of both really adds up on the walk in.
  13. I took a small magnet and was scanning the entire area to no avail!!! Just one of those things not to take for granted!!!
  14. I recently bought a new Scott "Little Goose" release from Dick's Sporting goods for a back up to my other Little goose. Well, long story short, I was out back target shooting again this morning, when I noticed that the trigger fell off this release? I e-mailed the company letting them know about the problem and hoping that they will send me out another knurled trigger for my release soon. You would think that they would of Loc-Tited the dang thing right from the factory!!!!
  15. Recently bought a Liberty from Cabela's. Think it weighed 317lbs. Not a huge model, but will hold what I have. Appears to be a Charcoal gray color. Wanted to get one for a long while now anyway. Was on sale too...
  16. Still doing it.....frustrating to say the least!!
