  1. Then everyone wonders why I'm a Patriots fan?
  2. Maybe when I get older I may try one then, but for now I will stick with my Mathews.
  3. You can say that again!!!!
  4. Think come bow season we will be hunting in our shorts!!
  5. Holy smokes, it's the first week of September for crying out loud and it's still 85+ out!!!
  6. Years ago, I shot one with my .44 Ruger SB while he was up the hill. Little did I think that cooler air drops downward. yep, stunk up the entire cottage area that evening!!!
  7. LOL.....those pesky skeeter's can take a toll!!
  8. Good post, I am in the market for one as well.
  9. When does the "Bot fly" issue seem to go away, with colder weather?
  10. With a hang on stand, I try to get up between 13-18', takes a lot of screw-in steps to go much higher. But, while using my climber, I can go to 20'+. My pull up ropes are 30' long to be on the safe side. Like already mentioned, try to have some sort of cover near you. Like a hardwood tree next to a sumac best.
  11. Never been there yet. Would like to see it for the first tme
  12. All depends on what type of camera you want? If you want a big, bulky, camera and high bucks, go with a large Digital camera in the 35 mm format. But if you want a camera for less than half the cost or more, of the larger ones, get a small pocket type camera. I went with a Canon SX260 HS model. Came with a 20X zoom as well, perfect for what I need. I also have been just using the camera on my cell phone Galaxy X5S, takes some great pic's too.
  13. I fool with my range finder trying to site different distances, keep a small note book that I jot down interesting things that happen during the time in stand. Text with my phone to keep in touch with the GF....ETC.
  14. Larry, like you I still have 2 of their stands as well. My stands are probably as old as yours!!!
  15. Larry, for most of my hunting, I always wear a pair of "Lacrosse Burley" knee high boots with their standard insulation and air bob soles. I like the fact that Lacrosse is the only company that makes 18" high boots too. For spring turkey hunting, they are the cats ass with the dam morning dew that gets most shoes and pant legs soaked. I also wear them for fall bowhunting due to the rubber keeping your scent off the ground as you walk to your stand. Best all around boots I have except for really cold snowy weather, then I wear a pair of Pak Boots with the removable liners for stand hunting. You can also use them for still hunting for deer. As long as your moving, they will generate heat to your feet.
  16. Happy B-Day, hope you enjoy your big day!!!
  17. Like the look's of the 8pt.!!!!
  18. Watched Usain Bolt win the 100 meter again last night. He makes it look easy.....comes on like a freight train in the last 40 yards!!! I bet he could smash the record again "IF" he really tried!!!
  19. Your still going to have to "pull" that cart with a deer loaded on it up hill if need be right? If it's all flat land and no small trees or brush to block the wheels, your fine. Just thought it would be easier to slide it along on plastic, easier to move around stuff as well.
  20. Now that must of been cool to see that!!
