  1. Nothing worse, did sAme few months ago. My condolences @First-light
  2. Thick styrofoam that’s used for packing etc. Plenty around, cheap and definitely will be warm. If u remember the old school hot seats they were filled with styrofoam bb’s. Wish I still had mine
  3. Nothing better than some woods therapy @cynthiafu. Sorry to hear all the bad news recently, condolences to you and your family. Things will turn around for you, stay positive
  4. Saw what I think was a shed buck on Saturday, NOT that I’m an expert by any means, just the size and way it was acting/walking made me think. It was probably 70-80 yards in some thick cover
  5. Beautiful pic @46rkl, looks very inviting, you mentioned post hunt beer, I’ll bring a case, just give me address
  6. Got the muddy, love it. Never know I’m wearing it https://www.cabelas.com/product/Muddy-The-Safeguard-Harness/1997302.uts?productVariantId=4173613&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=04159844&rid=20&ds_rl=1246537&ds_rl=1246540&ds_rl=1247888&ds_rl=1252079&gclid=Cj0KCQiAiZPvBRDZARIsAORkq7d-sT__wRK5tSGNAroEyumoPUT9QbqRQ55cTYvrASSbEQuEKV1MoJsaAhY6EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  7. Cold feet are my cryptonite - have tried everything. If I’m moving/still hunting im ok. if I sit after a long walk to the stand, A dry change of socks is a must. , I sweat regardless if I walk 300 yards or 1 hour to my stand. Cold feet also have a lot to do with circulation as well, anyone having pre existing circulation issues may have problems with cold feet, as well as diabetics can too. Also, remember to keep an “ air pocket” or don’t over tighten your laces as it will cut off the circulation to a certain extent
  8. Anyone use one of these? Pros -cons? https://www.walmart.com/ip/Dead-Ringer-Hammock-Chair/38250965?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1259&adid=22222222227026480622&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=43265716472&wl4=pla-81188943992&wl5=9004362&wl6=&wl7=&wl8=&wl9=pla&wl10=112343778&wl11=online&wl12=38250965&veh=sem&gclid=CjwKCAiA5o3vBRBUEiwA9PVzakxv_B44tPqK9uzWNsZd7XppTLE1nMLLgH-wjnw2D8XgHIVrDfFVRRoCdtIQAvD_BwE
  9. Like mine for chicken cutlets, rotisserie chicken and skewers, cons it’s a bit small on inside can’t cook a lot at once, also takes up a lot of space on my already crowded countertop
  10. @ApexerER ever try Carhaart bibs? I use them from time to time, definitely burr resistant, water and wind too. problem is a bit heavy and bulky to walk in, they were a lifesaver for me on some EXTREMELY cold days. I usually try to carry in/out and put a lighter pair of pants underneath with some sort of base layer/long john
  11. @CharlieNY what’s your experience with using these in or on rocks/logs if ground hunting. do they absorb moisture/ snow/ etc
  12. I have the woody max, x 4 years.., don’t use every hunt, but .LOVE them. Warm and dry all the time. Bought for 150, certainly worth it
  13. @YFKI1983 If you have a hot girl, tempting you, what would u do,? LOL
  14. Just bought the CVA wolf $315 out the door with a scope and a case. I had it centered in 3 shots. Can’t wait to try it out on a deer. My budget was tight and this was in my price range . I had to get a temporary bass pro credit card to secure the price, which the guy said I could cancel next day. https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/cva-wolf-209-magnum-break-action-50-caliber-muzzleloader-with-scope-combos.
  15. My wife’s company is same BS. Everyone is looking to make a buck, or create problems. I’m not saying what this guy did was wrong or right, however we have developed a culture of whiny ass bitches ( men and women) who are offended by everything and everyone. again, the tat woman had no problem with it, why the F do these other workers have to mind someone else’s business? pussification of America.
  16. Any place west of Kingston on / adjacent to route 28, 42, 209. All good areas lots of state land and ton of bear
  17. @The Engineer, could not have said it better myself
  18. @the blur He did not search vehicle, simply asked to check guns, looked in the bed, nothing was pulled out, etc. I had nothing to hide so what did I care. I don’t disagree with you, about the 100 question, but if you follow rules, and comply with them things go smooth.
  19. @steve863, 2 guys in a pickup coming from the north, probably. however, as I said I can not imagine how many guys drove by while he was checking us. also they had 3 cars pulled over at the end of the merge from Bruckner. There was an electric sign at the beginning of Throgs Neck exp, warning all hunters to stop. This guy was on shoulder, pointed at me and motioned me to the side
  20. I got stopped, at the end of Throgs Neck Expwy, asked if I was lucky (no not yet) Where we hunted he checked guns of me and friend to make sure they were unloaded and then asked if he could open bed cover and look inside. He couldn’t have been nicer, have not had too many encounters with DEC, and this was surely a positive experience.
