Leftover DMPs will be available on November 1st
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Bigfoot 327's topic in Deer Hunting
Just a refresher on how this works. If you bought your doe permits (DMP's) already there are permits available in these select areas on November 1st for FREE. If you had not purchased a DMP previously this year they are available and the normal $10 fee applies. No need to be at the licensing agent as soon as it opens on November 1st . The available units on the list will be available to ALL on the first day until close of business. The list will then be modified and units that met their issuing quota will be removed from the list and a new list issued for the following day. -

Congrats. He will see the rewards of this throughout his like. -
Thank you so much for everyone that donated or passed this around. We hit our matching goals but we are just $20 short of a threshold that would trigger another $100 match from the anonymous donor. If you have been considering a donation to this it would be a great time. This $20 would push the campaign to $1,900 and the match would put us at $2,000. The Branch's match has already been sent in so that totals a donation of $3,000. That is 12,000 servings. Thank you all.

Try a diamond stone to sharpen them. Do not move them in circles. Straight push forward with even number of counts on each side. They will come out sharp enough to shave with. I have a 6" piece of a broken arrow that I screw the head onto so I can use it like a handle.

Pay it forward.

I figured that was the point but there are a few differences. This wasn't a country then and there were no laws against ILLEGAL immigration. Maybe he would suggest that we treat these invaders like the native Americans treated invaders from other Indian Nations then? I bet that approach would stop them from coming in.

If I win my wife gets half and I will give her a hug and wish her well. No way i could enjoy that much money and be married. lol

The one I just shot on the 13th took the top of the heart off on a totally broadside shot. it was a tad higher and forward then the middle. The middle horizontally does not put you at the back of the ribs. That middle they recommend is middle from nose to rump. not chest to rump. all that said it is basically 3-5 inches further back from what I would normally shoot on a deer. That is center of mass for the lung/heart area.

Don't let them in. They would enter at a boarder crossing so turn them away. If they rush the boarder like they did in Mexico then hit them with tear gas water cannons and rubber bullets. I guarantee some are armed. If they fire on the military it is an act of war. Treat them like terrorists or armed invaders at that point and shoot them.

I was told years ago it was because of the polychoke. Tried it on range session and it was pitiful. I opted to stay with my old Eastfield pump shotgun with just the bead up font. no Vented rib even. That one could throw a pumpkinball.

Who carries a handgun while hunting?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to pitweiler's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Encore 308win. Love taking it out. -
There happens to be an 11-48 in 16ga in my safe. Has a poly choke and great gun for small game. Slugs are a different story. I can throw them more accurately with my arm. lol

I’d go with the 2.0 -
We are just $15 away from hitting a number that max's out the branch donation as well as getting the other $400 match form the anonymous donor. This donor is also saying they my be willing to match more if the campaign keeps rolling. Thank you to everyone here that donated or shared this link with their networks. This is gong to be 11,200 servings to feed the hungry. In the updates you see the Branch matching check that is on the way to the VDC for our $1,000 match. https://www.gofundme.com/grst-qdma-feed-those-in-need

a shim pad behind the limb in the limb pocket? What is the legal minimum for a vertical bow poundage?---Nevermind- I found it. it is unlawful to hunt big game with: A bow with a draw weight of 35 lbs or less

check out the 350 on that site too. I'ts a tad bigger but same height. I think it had more "traditional" blind windows though. -

If it were me I wouldn't count on the "setting" on the limb tension alone. It don'est say anything about how the crossbow is manufactured for the poundage. it says it's maximum can not exceed. 200# Minimum limb width: 17 inches (outer tip of limbs, excluding wheels and cams, uncocked) Minimum peak draw weight: 100 pounds Maximum peak draw weight: 200 pounds. Minimum overall length: 24 inches from butt-stock to front of limbs. It doesn't say that the crossbow is ok as long as it is only set at 200#. But if the crossbow is "permanently" modified so the new max is 200 or under I can't see how they could complain about it. To me (and I am not lawyer) this would be like pinning in a mag to be Safe Act compliant with an AR. It couldn't be easily modified in the field. Shims are in and set so limbs cant exceed 200 and you would have to dismantle the crossbow to get it over the 200# mark. Not happening in the field. to have it just "set" that way you could just turn it up or down in the field with an allen wrench. And your Hype doesn't fall under these restrictions.

usually the wider dimension is hub to hub which sticks out further than the footprint. standing at 6' and shootign you will probably be back into a narrowing area. -
I am very new to the crossbow world but what if there was a "permanent" shim in the pocket that kept the bow from being cranked down to beyond 200"? Shouldn't matter what the original spec's say. an epoxied shim in the pocket would set it at a new maximum.

It makes very good fries without the grease. Sweet potato fries are awesome. We cut them think like shoestring fries or ribbon fries.
