  1. Symptomatic problem in this nation. Some don't have the self control to just avoid something themselves or just plain don't agree with it. So rather than just avoiding it and making their personal decision they require it be "legislated"' out of existence.
  2. IMO I think it serves a purpose. There has been some very good information conveyed on it (and a bunch of crap), but I would not want to see it go. It's too easy to skip by what you don't want to read.
  3. but aside from the area around buffalo and albany on the season map (talking upstate), it still would be open season, wouldn't it. I bet the charges would be for the discharge of the weapon. I don't think it could be for taking game out of season if the season is open. I am not saying to do it and don't agree with trying it. Just conversation.
  4. I don't see the xenophobia. Seems like there is plenty of hatred spread around evenly, even for those in this country. lol
  5. Take your outdated concepts and desires and go lay down for a nap. You obviously have no grasp on reality
  6. FAST EDDIE-----KNOW KNOCK THAT OFF YOU CENSORING SOB

  8. My wife vacated the house so I could do our taxes. We find it is best that way since tension runs high seeing those numbers...lol. She came home when they were done and we made home made chicken Lo mien.
  9. Better hope Hillary and Bernie don't win. Republicans postpone a nomination until after the election and one of them toss up Obama as their pic...
  10. I wouldn't surprise me. Biz has been vocal about not caring or following anything that doesn't directly impact him. He brought up very similar comments about the safe act because he didn't own or use anything that was in the law.
  11. All avenues must be exhausted through the legal process. The stumbling block to that in many cases is when the Govt is the one you have a grievance with. They have eternally deep pockets (thanks to you and me), while a private citizen doesn't. I definitely don't see it as "better" and doubt I would see it ever come to that in my lifetime but given the wedge that is driven into our society, I could be convinced it is coming in the future.
  12. I get that. I guess my point is I would want the option before I got to that point (seeing what happened to my Father with Cancer). You ever see the story of Brittany Maynard?
  13. couple tips. #1 check at pet stores for crushed media. I can't remember which animal bedding it was used for but it is waaaay cheaper going that route. I also put about a table spoon of Brasso Polish in the media and run if for a few minutes to mix prior to putting in the casings. #2 I am sure about everyone here used dryer softener sheets. save your old ones. cut into strips about 1" wide and 4-5" long. drop 3-4 of them in the media when you add the casings. you wouldn't believe the dust that those things collect while moving around in there. One time use. Keeps the media much cleaner.
  14. There is nothing that stops a person from ending their own life currently. Having seen diseases toll with my Father. i wish he had the opportunity to make that decision and do it with Medical support in a controlled environment with his family close. I believe Vermont is the closest state that allows this.
  15. they require a 2/3 vote in both houses and that is just to Propose the amendment. It does not go to the POTUS. (Or a Constitutional Convention can be called by the states to propose the amendment) It goes to the states where is requires a 3/4 ratification. (38 out of 50). That is why this process hasn't been used by the left to push their gun agenda. 13 no votes at it would be dead in the water. Much easier to load the Supreme Court
  16. You losing to hunt with or target practice? JHP is pretty expensive stuff for plinking. A lot more cost effective options out there in those calibers for target
  17. caliper, caliper caliper. did you buy the Lee Trimmer?
  18. To the contrary. Majority rule is a true Democracy. We are not. We are a Representative Republic. There is a reason why one of the branches of Government (Congress and most specifically the Senate) was set up as it is. To protect states with less population than the larger states. RI has equal voice as CA in the Senate regardless of population. We are not majority rule. In fact the Constitution was set up for protections of out rights in the face of majority opposition. There is a defined process to modify the Constitution. If is seldom used becasue there is seldom enough wide spread support for any of the process to be carried out.
  19. interesting research if you look into the driving force behind the Whiskey Rebellion. Apparently many of the founding fathers that had pledged their lives freedom and finances, had their 'finance part heavily tied to not only tobacco, other cash crops, slaves and land, but also owned distilleries. The bootlegging not only deprived the new nation of tax revenue but took profit away from the distilleries.
  20. This is what I use for my "dump". even measures the cylindrical granules that I use in the 4007 SSC powder without breaking them. and as a side note----there was a recall on 4007 SSC back in the fall. Check your lot numbers if you use it. http://www.ammoland.com/2015/09/imr-4007ssc-powder-recall-product-safety-warning/#axzz3zmjiEtXl
  21. Curious. What are you reloading JHP for? hunting loads?
  22. I honestly think that most horror stories, that get accepted as gospel, about modern calibers and poor performance is a case of bad bullet selection and bad shot placement.
