  1. Th other think on the ML license sales. I would bet the cross bow numbers are clouding the ML hunter numbers. I wonder if in units (Like Erie county where license sales went up) the numbers were propped up with a combination of crossbow AND a reduction in setback rules for them.
  2. If it wasn't for the early ML up in the NZ I wouldn't have bought one this year
  3. Well I took a class on forge welding last night. It was only about 3 hours after the instruction and the demonstration part ate up some of that. We were making a flux spoon to take home to use when the students forge weld. Flux that we used was borax. We started out with a piece of 1/4" round and a 20" piece of 3/8" square. Cut the round into fourths and folded them in to make a bundle. forge welded the two ends and drew down to 3/8". Then welded the bundle onto the end of the square stock. twisted and then untwisted the bundle to give it the open look and drew out the hook on the handle. On the opposite end we partial cut and folded back about 1-1/2" of the 3/8" and welded it to itself. Then drew out and shaped the spoon bowl. Sounded pretty easy, huh? LMAO We ran out of time so I still have some straightening and cleaning to do for the finished product but pretty pleased with how the welds came out and how well they held. Probably won't be counting on this process with a MIG welder over at my buddy's house, but it is nice to know and how to do it. Wednesday night is a class on tenons and riveting.
  4. See. You got it wrong papist. They do it while saying they don't, but just say everyone else is. lol
  5. I put them on my boat trailer and on my utility trailer. 5 years and not bulb changes when I sold the boat trailer and the utility trailer was built in 2005 and still going strong.
  6. Leg vise stand complete and my first bottle opener. Of course. Lol
  7. Your leanings and those of the mentioned groups seem to align. That was all.
  8. Wildcat, can you settle a bet for me? We you a teacher, union member or government employee?
  9. Trial? It sounds like you are referencing items that are not under the "guilty" verdict on the summary sheet.
  10. Well I fired up the forge on Saturday. I made some parts that I needed to fabricate some tools for upcoming projects. I took a run at my first set of tongs and not totally disappointed in how they came out. I only had 1/2" square stock so it didn't leave much meat in the rivet area but they are handling the 1/2 stock in the forge very well and with the longer bottom lip it makes picking small parts out of the fire very easy. I welded all the parts up on Sunday and they are ready for my next fire. Fuller hardie tool bending fork hardie tool spring swage for drawing out and shaping round 1/2" and 3/8" Twisting wrench for making those classic twisted square bars. One more set of tongs for now and I will be off and running.
  11. In general I am not in favor of any welfare, corporate or individual. Grants to businesses are a farce. If the concept or product is so great there would be private investment. That goes for even "green energy" concepts as well as subsidized farming. I believe in the market setting the minimum wage for a specific skill.
  12. Are you making a statement or asking a question? In order to accurately state what I agree with or don't I would have to respond to a specific. What specifically?
  13. Where did I say all were? You don't believe that many of the tenants of the Left diminish the value of personal responsibility and accountability? And as a side note. I fully believe in charitable giving, but NOT government ordered and with no say in where it goes. Mandated is NOT charity.
  14. Cool. Technically not "stuck", just a wonder of evolution.
  15. Jesus also taught individual accountability and responsibility. How does that fit into the "moderate" and "Liberal" Christian narrative?
  16. Might not be the casings. As Doc showed, could be seating depth or OAL of the round
  17. Ii don't support the "protest" in Oregon. Wrong way to go about it. The Fed's are on a tight rope on this one though because of how they are armed and how divided the country is. They aren't in a city and it might be the the best approach to isolate them and wait it out.
  18. If you have any of the ammo left from each type I would compare them side by side. Are you using the factory magazine? I had a similar problem with an aftermarket magazine in a 7400 that I used to own. Visually they looked the same but always had a problem with it. the 7600 and 7400 use the same mags.
  19. These have preformed and lasted very well for me. target shooting a lot and several deer and the original dozen I got 4 years ago are still going strong. Correction---will be 4 years in August
