Open Carry
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Five Seasons's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Agreed, but my point was how they crafted their response. As in many places, even here, how would anyone know unless you had to use it. (if concealed correctly) -
Open Carry
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Five Seasons's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
They unnecessarily forced Target to take a stand. If you read the actual statement that the Target spokesperson released they really took a position that would still allow concealed carry. They are "asking" their customers to leave their guns at home. That is a position that is carefully constructed to pacify the anti's and leave the door open for a person that wants to concealed carry. They "asked"....I refused. They never said they would not allow guns in their stores from the articles I have read -
It could be from an injury or from the pedicle not forming correctly. I don't believe the majority of them will heal and I don't believe it is genetic in the sense of being passed on. I have one rack very similar to this from a 2.5 year old that I took with my bow years ago. I saw it the previous year as a 1.5 with the same deformity both years. only one like that we have seen in the years since.

At our last QDMA field day a few weeks ago. we had a speaker on trail camera use and he made the case for the same level of scent control while operation those as we do while hunting in order to avoid the education of the deer so early. Some very good points. similar to the processes that trappers go through.

History is littered with extremism gone to terrible lengths on all side. Unfortunately, seems to go with the word extreme. -

I get the feeling from the posts and information out there that she would love to have a show. This is probably just the boost in popularity that she needed. -
Never had any of that get on the meat. Are you standing over the top of it?....lol

I wonder if that stats includes the factors like jobs being moved to less than 30 hours a week to avoid Obama Care, higher unemployment rates (the real ones not the ones that don't include the disenchanted workers) and the increased illegal aliens. A lot of those folks will keep an average leisure time per week number on the increase.

I use a 12" blade so that the saw doesn't need to be close to the meat. It is a biotch to clean the nook and crannies out. Also it is best to use a fine toothed blade and to cut with a knife to the bone before using it. It doesn't cut meat well but walks right through the bone.

Thanks ADK. Can't wit to try it. My Cousin brought pig wings up to camp last year. Wonder if you could pull that off wit the venison as well. Same cut as used here. was very rich and tender. http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/30/dining/pig-wings-as-tasty-morsels-take-flight-united-tastes.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

Base and Rings opinions
Culvercreek hunt club replied to mac's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
what 06 are you mounting it on? I really prefer the Leupold dovetail base and rings. it is rock solid with fewer screws. (none connecting the rings to the base. -
I have loaded Game Kings in my 308 and 06. They have functioned flawlessly and are constructed well enough to take that quartering to shoulder shot yet still expand well in the chest when no bone is hit. I think it would work well for you in the 300.

Minimum soak time on a camera should be 2 weeks. a month is better. I will usually move once before the season as the patterns shift from a summer pattern to a more fall pattern.

UN Resolution 2117
Culvercreek hunt club replied to mike rossi's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
1) Unless the women have found a way to not need the male partner then I believe it should be partially a mans issue. I do not believe in it other than for rape or incest. quite frankly if you are that concerned about your body and not being pregnant...keep your legs together. 2) So you are a believer in the manmade global warming propaganda? 3 ) Gate way drug in my view and their main focus in the legalization is the development of a new tax base. I have seen quite a few friends move from it to drugs with even bigger issues. 4)I am as well. I am against all such programs of giveaways with no strings. In a true free market the weak poorly run companies should fail. 5) I don't have a problem with a leader / leaders that have faith. we could do far worse and it is proven in recent history. I believe a moral compass is lacking in our society. 6) I don't even get this one. You feel the Liberals have the market locked up on science? 7) I agree. but it should not be mandated and it should not be a career. Laziness should not be rewarded. (Also see #5 above) .. Unions had their purpose. But they are so corrupt and foster a system where individual drive and productivity are not used as the basis for advancement. 9). I agree there are cuts needed across the board. I would love to see the next budget take a 5% cut on EVERYTHING and require that department managers make it work. I would also like to see that same cut take place over the next 5 years. -
I understand your view but if you really think this has anything to do with the ownership of a rifle or any other firearm, you are naïve.

What they really need to do is craft the new gun laws just as they did with the drug laws so they are able to achieve the same success ratings.

I would rather part and store than give the state one serial number in the registration process.

Contender 35 Rem.

What's your budget? -
not true. Your pre 1994 ban 2 feature "assault rifle" was made illegal. They can not be possessed in N Y, registered or not.

Contender 35 Rem.
Culvercreek hunt club replied to NYBuckHunter27's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
http://www.encoreclassifieds.com/forum/ Try this site. I have used it before. I have an Encore but they also have a Contender section. Can I ask why the Contender and not the Encore?
