https://nyassembly.gov/leg/?default_fld=&leg_video=&bn=A00703&term=0&Summary=Y&Actions=Y&Memo=Y&Text=Y If you read this is is really more than state land. think of any waterway or land that has run off foe NY City water supply. They do't say drinking water supply. Hudson River all the way up, Erie Canal and Mohawk River to about Rome area and everything that runs into them.

brush hogged and sprayed...Now what?
Culvercreek hunt club replied to Buck_IT's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
The downfall on the tiller is that the soil is loaded with seeds. You can undo all your spraying with a soil turn over and get all the ones growing that were not effected by your sprays. If your soil is very compact you may need to but I'd suspect not. Moog hit it on the head. It may take multiple sprays, especially since you just hogged it. To me, the glysophate works best with leaf contact. If the plant like goldenrod is stalked and you cut it offand then you spray it, it may not work well on it. You've lost your leaf contact. The one thing I think most over look on some of there sprays is the use of a surfactant. It really can increase the effectiveness in most cases. Some may have it added and some don't. One thing I did notice on your initial write up in the OP was the plants you listed in the brush area. There are a couple things that some land managers overlook. That is managing for the native species vs food plots. in many cases you can provide more high protein tonnage per acre in the managed native plants than in providing a food plot. And in most cases food plots remove important factors like bedding areas. The managed native plants can actually provide both. The berry bushes and brambles are GREAT. Even though it is invasive and can be a real pain, the honeysuckle provides great food and cover value at times during the year. Leaves can contain up to 20% protein. That is pretty impressive for not having to plant it and it also providing cover. I guess my one point is you have done a great job and haven't overdone it at first blush. My biggest suggestion is to have a comprehensive plan. Plots can be instant gratification and work great becasue the deer are visible when using them but you best bang for your buck, sweat equity and habitat quality can be managing and supplementing the native species. I would also add that if you can, avoid square plots. Irregular shapes promote deer movement while in the plots. I'd also take a hard look and re-establishing the 5 acres of apple trees. -
We just had a B-14 at out QDMA banquet in 6.5 Creed. Sure felt nice and will probably be on my short list for a next purchase. I have heard very good things about them.

The other rounds are for the other deer in the group, silly. the first is easy to get, the second is a bit harder and the third out of the group is the big challenge...lol -

I stayed away because I had bad experiences with the fold back types. This slip cams seem pretty dependable to me

Smith & Wesson M&P Shield

Try the Ranier bullets. They are copper coated (not jacketed so you still have to load for lead bullets). They are much nicer to handle with less lead all over. -
I used them for years and they punched through anything, were razor sharp and were easy to sharpen. The blood trails ALWAYS sucked with them. I switched. Nice bow and the best part that you purchased is confidence.

Reality is the best comedy, unless you are the butt of it. I didn't hear one work in there that wasn't true and the visuals were mild compared to what many towns and villages in Upstate are like now.

I am using a single pin this year until I get all the kinks worked out. Nothing says you can's have a site -
If they are as good on ticks as they are on black flies i'd risk the money. They say they are and I will be wearing them in tick areas while hunting. Especially since I just got a bite while down in Georgia. Go figure, I can't tell you how many deer I have cut up and areas I have been around that were loaded with ticks and never got a bite. Go to Georgia for a weekend for QDMA convention and get bit while in their mowed lawn. I will say one thing though. I DID get some mosquito bites through the stuff. I am sure it helped some on them but they can get through it. To me if I had this on and sat with a thermacell, it should be about 100% care free.

My lip is still sore as hell...lol. Don't ever practice with Moog. When you have a bad shot he gives you a right hook from behind you... -
Concealed Carry in Onondaga County

I am sure it was the felony component that set those wheels in motion. I've never heard of a DUI affecting a permit unless it was felony. -

Felony DUI? -
One of the best systems I have seen for folks not wanting to have a cell plan or when your property has piss poor cell reception is the Cuddelink system. (this can be set up to send you the pics if you want to buy the service). There is a main hub camera and the remote cameras send the pics to the hub camera to store. for security you could have the hub really hidden and even is someone steals the remote camera the hub and the photo record is safe (Thumbnail file size). It is also great for scouting. no more traipsing through the woods to collect cards. Just stop at the hub and retrieve all the pics from the remote cameras. The hub holds the thumbnail pics. I guess if you want a higher res file you would then go get it if it is promising?

It is a bunch of $hit that you should even have to go through that. either your background is clear or not. Their impressions or views should play zero into the equation. -

For anyone having issues I believe there may be a loop hole some can take advantage of. You can apply for the permit in your county of residence but I think you can also apply in your county of employment. (That is true for Monroe county anyway). -
It really depends on how much of the column you have used up. I had to add a couple shot cards on a couple loads becasue they sat too far down and I also only like to roll about 3/8"
