    I'm sure I can't be alone with cell pics of bucks I've passed, so I'd like to see what everybody else passes on, and shoots with a camera. And no, even if I go buck-less I won't regret any of them ! Trophy hunting ain't easy !

    Yes, the Dec should release 200" bucks during each season on each hunters property to see how they react and if they can make the shot....

    I'd assume if you looked at percent wounded / lost to percent of bow hunters vs percent of gunhunters there has to be 2-3x the guys in the woods to begin with. I will bet that the percentage of misses goes way up come orange army time though...

    I've never really thought about it until I was talking to some fellow hunters... I mentioned getting new rain gear and immediately got scalded for bow hunting in the rain. " Can't follow blood " " can't recover deer" "not doing the animal justice" "unethical". Etc etc. I guess i feel personally that bow season is all about the well placed shot, not weather, not broadhead, not Mathews or elite... If I make the shot, I'm good. So, since I felt guilty for about .00004 seconds, i figured I'd see how do you guys and gals feel about it ?

    If it ain't broke ( well besides your arrows ) don't fix it. Keep doing what you are doing. Pass through or not, your having easy recovery's, run with it !

    Hotter than a snakes butt out here ! Sitting on now the 3rd location for stand since sat. Gotta move where he goes.... Hopeful that the wind is right and he's on his feet early.

    Don't bother, we were in and out under an hour. He was his crazy self within about 15 min. So, daddy's going huntin !

    Still seems real early for the transition. I'm seeing small bucks " following " does, not chasing, not nose to the ground..., Just following. I still think the big guys are on the routine there had. I think your stuck with the big guy getting back to his " core " area. Find his bed, intercept at food. He's prob a late nighter with this weather

    Congrats on the new rig. I had a Mathews blow up on me day before season started couple years back. I went and bought a new bow, thankfully I got comfortable right away so it all worked out. As far as the marriage tangent / hi jack, I will say this... I too am " old school " and to me old school would know to stay out of other people's business.... Especially on a huge forum.

    Wow. Can't believe you would draw it back after that.... Do you fire your guns in the house to see if they are unloaded ??? I'm not trying to insult you but jeez ! Forget about breaking the bow or cams or any of that !! U could lose an eye and never hunt again ! Get that thing fixed asap !

    Great morning ! Finally got to leave the rain gear home !!! Deer are moving. Planning out my day as I sit here, gotta go and move a stand this afternoon in hopes the big boys do the same thing they did last night

    Almost impossible to fool a wise old doe. Smartest deer in the woods is a doe with fawns, imo. As far as scent goes, get yourself a 3$ wind checker... See what it says. Again, just imho, I hate being on the ground unless it's on the edge of a field with a significant predominant wind.

    Between my father and I our best year was 12. Filled all tags and scored a couple of fresh roadkills...

    The beans is where it's at ! About 20 deer from 3pm till dusk. 2 big guys stayed in the corner.... Ill be moving my stand tomorrow !
