  1. Fletch good luck. These moments in life that mean the most to us come and go so fast. Enjoy every moment with your son afield. He is going to turn out to be a great hunter just like you!
  2. Most important be safe. Use your safety harness and make sure your stand is in top shape. I haven't been to my place in a month and I know some stands were not checked. These will not be hunted until they are inspected in daylight hours. Nothing like being out there fist day!

  4. This buck came along tonight around 7:00. Nice 10 pt two houses down!
  5. I have about a 7 acre pine forest that is dying. A quarter of it is a mess of fallen trees. Great place that holds a lot of game especially deer and grouse.
  6. Just woke up and read about this. Two devices only 1 went off. Looks like the bombs similar to the Boston attacks. This is going to put everyone on edge. Glad you are ok Elmo. Now I have to check on my sisters family.
  7. I have a fantastic stand that I always hunt opening day regardless of weather. This year may be different, I may not be in it but my niece will be because she has never shot a buck.
  8. When you take the picture put something else in as a size reference.
  9. Love to hear this, good job and good hunting!
  10. Pulls apart real easy. Corn starch works great, I just had too much sauce per meat.
  11. I was the Production Manager at Time magazine in NYC. We went into frenzy mode to get an issue out on the newsstands in 24 hrs. We accomplished that and revised the issue as news changed. It was weird being in the city and not around my family. One thing I will always remember as long as I live, It was the feeling of complete unity and strength among the people of NY. I'm sure it was that way across the country. It made me proud to be an American and thought to myself we can take on anything and get through it!
  12. It was really good. I have to learn to thicken the sauce and then add it to the meat. I have been dumping the meat right back into the sauce. Last night I probably had a bit too much sauce for the amount of meat I had. It was still great! A wonderful way to use your roasts!
  13. I'making pulled venison, root beer style! http://www.wideopenspaces.com/wild-game-recipe-root-beer-bbq-pulled-venison/?utm_content=bufferf5e1c&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Facebook&utm_campaign=Buffer
  14. My buddy has been doing the drone flying for a while. It's not as easy as you think especially when they are out of sight. You now have to register with the FFA and take classes to get a license. They are pricey and when you crash them…... you get the picture!
  15. That was priceless! Best post right there!
  16. Striped Bass is great eating! That is one nice fish. Did you get them on eels or trolling? Father in Law years ago caught a 41lbs Bass off the rocks, it was amazing. Congrats!
  17. In the past the ladder stands we bought were 16'. They are still out in the field. I have a couple of new ones that are 20' and I absolutely love them.
  18. Never had a problem being entertained by Mother Nature. Sitting in a tree stand for hours works for me and I don't get bored, no matter what time of season cause you never know what is going to happen the next minute!
