Good luck with it. I may buy one off season this year. -
Brother went to the cabin today and pulled the cards. Bunch of doe and smaller bucks, these two however stand out. 9pt and the other I can't tell but he looks old.

Enlarged and still don't know???

Years ago I ran into two hunters from PA that were hunting state land in Roscoe. They had a dandy 10 point and a smaller 5 pt on their truck. We talked for a while and they told me they would set up about two miles in. Actually camp deep in the woods for a few days. Most of the day was glassing ridges looking for the secluded bucks. That is how they shot those two deer. This was also way into gun season, if I remember correctly after Thanksgiving.

Anyone want to predict when the rut will happen….too funny.

Nice deer Eddie, hope you get a crack at them!!

Too many variables. If I knew there was a giant in the area and had time to hunt him that buck gets a pass. If not I would of taken the smaller guy and cursed myself when the big guy walked by.lol Only to say hope he makes it through season. Look we are all out there to harvest a nice buck or just bring home some meat. What is the difference between the first and second deer? It only matters to the guy releasing the arrow or pulling the trigger. Seriously I will probably hunt 4 days this season. A decent buck or doe walks by at bow or gun I'm done, just the way it is.

Real nice, look at the slow-motion shot at the end. See that buck drop after the arrow released.

Happy Birthday dude!

Could be monthly for me. Being I don't live at the cabin its when I get up there. I was last there August 1st. My brother is going up this weekend, he will check them. As for busting deer and leaving scent, 1 cam is off a major trail I mow and ride quads on. The deer get used to it. My other cam is down in the honey hole that doesn't have many visitors, both pick up nice deer.

I'll take a cool looking rack over an older deer. I don't see why not, YOU still can decide what to shoot or what not to shoot this year. I'll take this guy in a heart beat over an older deer with a bigger rack.

So my new job has me in a truck that is pretty old and loaded with product. I give the old girl some time to get up to 40 mph. I'm on the road early and there are so many people that get pissed that I drive…….the speed limit! Screw them, I want to have a sticker put on the back of the truck that reads, I drive the speed limit you should of gotten up a bit earlier. That is some scary stuff you described.

Funny how the DEC will turn a blind eye to stuff like this when they want deer taken in a bad way. Happens on L.I. all the time. Really no enforcement. Go ahead and buy all you want seeing the way things are going…lol

We have a lot of them on Long Island. The counties put up poles that make great nesting areas. This time of year you can watch the parents bringing in food for the young ones. It is really cool. Wooly it's time to cut off all the branches of a giant pine and put a platform up top for a nesting area. Rig up a 24 hr cam and stream it right here!
