Geno, 4 years ago i was in the same situation. I was thinking about foundations, driveway, covert pipes and so on. I hooked up with a local builder and he did a great job framing out my cabin. He built a 20 by 24 cabin on pilings, put in a 100' driveway for a real goo price. I also looked at woodtex buildings which was my second option. Hey, Just got in, would of been in by 5 but there was an accident under the apartments on the xbronx and was standing outside the truck for 45 minutes until they cleared it. Met my brother in law on Saturday at the cabin and we hunted from 2 until dark and saw nothing. went out this morning in 12 degree temps and also saw nothing. It was great ending up the season hunting with my brother in law, we had a great time. Found this 6 point dead on the property. Not too far from the road, the yotes did a number on him. Could not tell the cause of his demise! A great season for Team Legend! We accounted for 1 NY bow buck, 1 Ohio bow buck, 4 NY gun bucks and 1 NY gun doe. I just had some Italian sausage from the doe I got, it was great! Ready for bed I'm beat.............

I did that last year, got up there around 4 in the morning and hunted all day and half day Sunday. I ended up with pneumonia. Saw a bunch of deer and shot a few times had a ball!! Sucks I had to stay home from work the following week.lol

I'll be meeting my brother in law tomorrow at 11 at the cabin. We intend on hunting the afternoon and Sunday morning. Weather looks perfect so maybe we get one or two. I usually see a lot during smokepole let's see if my record keeps up. Not one of the big bucks in my area were harvested this year so you never know. Good luck!

I will drive a total of 12 hrs to and from the cabin this weekend. I will hunt probably maybe 6-7 hours only because I'm leaving around 5 am Saturday to go up and leaving to come home around noon on Sunday. Sound like an addition, you betcha!!!!!!!!! Can't wait usually see a lot of deer during muzzleloader. Good luck to all the muzzleloaders this weekend!

What kind of tag is on that deer, looks to be a bit big for a normal harvst tag. Any thoughts or am I blind? Go easy...........Nice harvest-great deer!

School grounds, school bus???? Hunters with long range rifles in areas where the bullet can travel. Yes a slug from a shotgun can travel a bit but that bus that was hit this season was at 500 yards, now these kids. This rifle bill in some areas needs to be rethunk.

I will be wearing blaze orange. Long story short, someone got permission to hunt a 5 acre piece that borders me and my neighbor. Two big blinds were constructed and multiple people are hunting from this property. I have had trespassers this year for the first time. My neighbor has caught them in his blinds and a lot of shooting coming from the property. I'll be safe than sorry.

None of the above. Don't screw with the way I hunt or the amounts I can harvest.

Ar's provide more entertaining hunts, produce more revenue for the DEC and poachers will be easier to catch. I don't agree with that. What's more entertaining then being able to harvest any size deer you wish. I know a bunch of guys who wouldn't bother to hunt if ar's were put in place. Loss of hunters and revenue right there. As for the poaching thing well if the deer is under the antler size sure but most poached deer are not hung out for display. Just my opinion.

It's obvious RSS is kid that has a lot to learn. Don't give him the time of day and let him drown in his own obnoxious tone.

Get it skinned and cut up. Was it in the sun or shade. Are there flies on it???? Only you can tell if it's good. I would let a deer hang maybe 3 days max.
