Also on public land I ike to do something to make the scrape look man made to other hunters so I dont have everybody seeting up on it. Those who dont beleoive in mock scrapes will pass it up but noone will pass up a REAL hot scrape.

I like buck and doe in a mock scrape with hanging branch along a trail 20 yards up wind (prevailing wind) from your stand in early season like now, and well into the rut during the seek phase.

I disagree with both I use a lint roller when I get to my stand and the same back my car and if you look close at least 50-60 larvae ticks. Plus I have had shots at deer everyday I've been out I have nothing against shooting doe but I do it in December last year I past a nice 7 bc it was crooked from a fight on my property figured let him grow bigger and straight for next year then I got nothing that will not happen again.

Saw one button buck under stand at 9 Im home now not hunting again until friday maybe a few times over the weekend since im not going up to my property this weekend probably. Hopefully temps will drop a loittle was even hot before sunrise today.

No deer yet warm morning its supposed to maybe hit 80 later I'm out of here if it gets warm fast.

8 looks alittle tough for an afternoon sit due to spooking alot on your way in. I like 6 for an afternoon if it is somewhat of a staging area for deer and sundown before heading out. I also this 1 and 3 look good for am as long as you dont spook deer in feilds on way in and the remote one in that patch of southern woods looks good for cruising bucks during seek. My Opinon,

I don't know if its legal or not but I take a gun anytime I enter the woods. I would hold off on your turkey scouting until after deer season before you disrupt the woods.

Does everyone mean deer or buck b/c a deer is always an easier task then a nice buck.

I tried for a little just alot of work and then I never saw deer when I hunted what I thought was a half assed pattern.

Mine was with a bow dropped within 40 yards did the death roar and that was it.

I had the half mount done. Bc the bear was only 225 next one will be a rug unless a giant then its a full. I'm in 3k a lot of bear around and my property just holds them for some reason I think it has to do with terrain.

Yes but finding access is a lot of work I think I'm going to make it my winter time project.
