Been busting my ars, the past week. Front & back yards are looking good. Pool is open, flowers and much are in, lawn and edging good. Still have to pressure wash the back patio and paint the mail box post and some trim around the garage doors. I almost forgot…..I put down some new flooring a few weeks ago and still haven't finished all the molding and transitions yet. The wife complains every day, before adding more to my list. Then she goes out golfing, or to the mall, or out to dinner with my daughters or….well you get it.

My wife and two girls will run out of a room screaming…I mean screaming, if they even see the smallest spider. I can't get through to them that spiders can be killed by like,,,lightly taping them with a shoe, or news paper, or pretty much anything..

no bird for me this year, but still a great season. Passed on Jakes, had nice Toms that I just couldn't close the gap with and I saw birds every day I hunted. (at least 15 days). Found one tiny shed and saw lots of deer and deer sign. Good season in my book.

Little neck clams, BBQ Ribs, Pasta salad, BBQ Beans, Salad, salt potatoes and a bunch of other stuff that I can't recall. HAD TO buy a sixer of Labattes for my sister in laws new boyfriend. He will have one or two tops, in between conversation about "him" Then Im stuck with the rest of that Devils brew. I made the mistake of giving him the remaining Labbs before. I wont give him the rest, out of principle. He avoids me for some reason….. He's a huge tool. NOT TODAY DOUG!!!!!!!!!!

I watered my wife's African violet plants last night. Think I might give them a little Miracle Gro next week.

I thought I was alone tonight, so I didn't make anything…Then the wife calls and tells me that not only will my kids be home to eat, but one of their friends as well. Threw together some Giannelli Sausage, peppers and potatoes . Big hit….Did you know that the name "Giannelli" is made up ??? The two owners are brothers. ones name starts with a "G" and the other starts with an "L". so they came up with G&L- eee. They're not even Italian!!!! I think their last name is 'LEE' as in G&L-LEE Smart guys………..

They are legal, because they are " a semi automatic RIFLE that do not have a DETACHABLE magazine. Before the SAFE ACT, you could pick one up for less than 200 bucks.. Now they run 4- 6 hundred+ depending on condition. 7.62x39 cal. ballistics about the same as the 30-30 Win. They are crude but crazy reliable,,They will always shoot..just like the AK

And sadly you are correct.. The anti gunners will dismiss a competitive shooting, white female, wearing a cross around her neck as some kind of brainwashed right wing nut, but will never,,,,NEVER mention any gang banging, scum when they shoot and or kill several people, with ILLEGAL guns in one weekend in Chicago,Baltimore, Detroit ETC….ETC... HHMMM ,,why is that????

I bought on of these off of Rick yesterday. They do sound awesome….Tried it out this morning , nothing going on but the sound is sweet in the open woods. Its a hen.

Got busted by two birds that were already down at about 520.. ?? It was light enough but it still seemed kind of early to me…Couldn't get anything going. I have yet another plan for the morning…I think this is like plan # 75 for the season…..Did see 2 big bodied deer about 60 yards out. No headgear. Watched them for a while then one suddenly stopped and gazed right in my direction. I was hunkered in and all camped up. I think it smelled my Deep Wood Off and the coffee I spilled all over my shirt, before I left the house. 2 good looking deer tho..

Its happened to me too. I would bet that they will roost in the same area. Just this year, on opening morning, I busted some out of the trees as I walked in. I had been seeing them in the afternoons, at the opposite end of the field and figured they were roosting there, but I was wrong. I went out the next morning and set up about 200yds. from where I jumped them. As it got light I could see birds in the same trees. They flew down, but I never got them close enough for a shot.

Is the finish of the gun spooking birds?? This my have already been answered but Im too lazy to read back. The words "spray paint" and "Benelli" just don't seem to go well. There are very good cloth camo tapes out there now. Friends use them and their guns look more than good enough for turkey hunting.. But it is your gun…so go for it if you want…..

When we were kids. 7-8 years old. There was an Irish cop that use to show up every morning for crossing detail when we went to school. Officer Shanley. A huge guy. He had an Irish accent. We loved him. He was mean looking and gruff, but we knew he liked us and was a good guy. Sometimes one of us would sass him and he would grab us (boys) by the collar, and kick us in the a$$.. Not hard. He could have thrown us across the street if he wanted to. He would always say " along now.. I have pigeons to shoot" What the hell did that mean!!!??? He was an older guy….Was he just nuts?? Im 51 years old now and I still have no idea what he meant……..None of my friends do either….

Im sure the Turks make some good guns…but I just can't buy one….. Even a Turkey gun made in Turkey turns me way off……….Im sure its just me..

They are definitely dangerous machines. Easy to tip, roll , flip and lose control of. Hunting buddies had them, back in the day..and they SUCK unless you're doing a very slow trail ride. My brother had one in the late 80's .Some D!cK gave it to him instead of the money he owed him……very unstable, poorly designed, dangerous machines. You don't have to be riding anywhere near crazy, to lose it and get yourself all kinds of F-ed up or dead!!!

The 358 Win. is not a magnum round…is it?? just an old Winchester cartridge…? A buddy has a 307 Winchester lever gun. He has, dropped deer with it, but now only has a few rounds left for it . He has had it for ever, but He hasn't brought it out in quite a while ( as in 15+ years) because he can't find ammo for it..

Man …chuck rigs have changed…..I haven't really hunted them since the late 80's early 90's. me and my buddy used Iron sighted 22's. He did have a 22 Mag, mine was LR,. We would drill them at close to 100yds. But I remember missing a lot…..LOL!
