Good looking stands……Use to have a bunch of permanent stands that me an my hunting buddies built into trees.. The remnants of all of them are still there. Some of them I built when I was still in High School…WOW!!! I love seeing the old things when Im out hunting now. Brings back a lot of memories.. Kind of cool. I have several of my old, rotten wooden stands within a few yards of the climbers and ladder stands that I replaced them with. The platform of one of my ladder stands sits about a foot over whats left of an old wooden stand that I built when I was about 18 or 19. Some of the 2x4's are from an old picnic table that my grandmother was getting rid of at the time... LOL!!

I have seen (and my friend has taken) bucks like that up by the winery. Im not surprised. Good luck.

Yup..the news reported, yesterday, that Facebook pulled the photos. They interviewed a professional hunter, who has hunted Africa numerous times. According to him, none of the animals that were taken, were on the endangered list or poached. I guess that just leaves the "cruelty" thing. Does Facebook remove photos of people who pose with the deer, turkey, waterfowl etc….they have taken, or do they have a certain list of species that they go by?? I think Facebook is also in the process of removing all of the 4th of July photos showing people BBQ-ing and eating animal parts.

Its all good. Im sure there is some "just in case" time considered when they print those use by labels.

Agreed….. Anyone who posts hunting photos will get bashed by the anti hunting crowd. Its what they do. Hopefully it will be a lesson learned, for this young lady and it doesn't discourage her.

Yup……The last deer I hit square in the shoulder, with a 30-06 didn't yield much meat in that area either…….

If you want a rock solid, what I would call over kill, set up go with Leupold dovetail mounts and Leupold steel rings. That set up is recommended for magnum rifles, but you can use it on anything. Super strong.
