  1. On 2 occasions I had rounds (both times shotgun slugs) smacking trees right next to me..RIGHT NEXT TO ME!! The first time was an inexperienced hunter who shot a button buck, and the second time was an experienced hunter shooting at a big racked buck, that ran within 20 yards of me, but I didn't/couldn't shoot at it because I was hugging the ground.
  2. You look like "a deranged Easter Bunny" LOL!!!!
  3. I have 3 Americans now…25-06, 22Mag and .223. All very accurate, great shooting rifles...
  4. So entertaining to watch the the hateful leftist, extremists (whether they are real or just silly little fakes) literally pi$$ing down their own legs and publicly crying over Trump….
  5. He/She is just a hacker, troll joke….FUNNY THOUGH!!!!!
  6. I have always found that the best sales, on hunting stuff, at places like Gander and Dick's are always the very end of January and February. I have gotten stuff like camo, stands …etc so cheap that I bought it just because it was so crazy cheap……….
  7. I heard that Comrade Di Blasio is is counting on Russian, and other, hackers and trolls to keep his support going….
  8. Since I got a deer, a week or so ago, my kids are sick of venison. I admit I may have over done it LOL!! Last night my daughter begged me to make chicken stir fry tonight.
  9. There is nothing like nice, older S&W revolvers…..Total eye candy…I have a few…but want more
  10. I see deer carcasses all over the place this time of year. There is a State management area about 10 mins. from my house and there are 2 butchered out deer right in one of the public parking area and 2 more on the side of the road, not 100ys from the parking area.. And thats just to mention a few.
  11. Down to the wire. I shot a small racked six (nice body) at about 4:15 today. My one and only deer for the season. I have had a lot going on and didn't get to hunt nearly as much as I wanted to this year, so I was glad to get him…. Im trying to post a pic but my daughter has some kind of lock on the photo thing a ma jig on this damn computer. I'll try again tomorrow.
  12. I have had real good luck with the Nikon stuff but if you're leery of them, by all means, the Leupold VXII, right around 300.
  13. I shot a giant doe, years ago when I was in my early 20's. I never had it weighed but its girth was huge, it had a very long body and snout and its teeth were worn right down even with the gums. Guys I was with guessed that it was 150- 160 lbs, but I bet it was bigger than that.
  14. I mostly use an old Buck 110, that was a gift from my sister, about 35 years ago. I also use an old Camillus that my brother gave me maybe 20 years ago. Its similar to the Buck but a bit smaller and thinner in the handle. Both great knives that work very well.
  15. I couldn't find much, as far as the same set up, to compare prices, but $1.749 is encouraging….Thanks
  16. I got a chance to buy a Bennelli M-1 Super 90 for $700, I can probably talk the guy down a bit. Its a 20 slug gun in beautiful shape. the guy hardly used it. Ive been looking for a light 20g a. slug gun for a while. I bought a gorgeous Browning BPS 20g a. a few years ago but it shot like crap, so I got rid of it. Does $700 seem a bit high for an M-1???
  17. That REALLY SUCKS and I feel bad for you………Almost the exact thing happened to me about 8 or 10 years ago, on a pice of property, my friends and I hunted for 30 years. Guys offered up cash to hunt it and the guy took it with out even offering us to lease it instead..And the guy didn't even need the money!!!! SELFISH DOUCHE NOZZLE!!!! Sorry, but something else will turn up for you…….
  18. On real cold sits I use thick, flip away wool mittens. Don't cheap out. Mine are wool rich and I think they cost me like 50 bucks. Put hand warmers in the finger tips of the mittens. Mittens are warmer than gloves. For the feet, thick wool sock on first covered by one or two layers of cotton socks, to absorb the sweat and pull it way from the feet. Legs,,,I do an Under Armor base then regular long Johns, then insulated pants (bibs work best) For the core, layer up with Under Armor first, then wool blend, then cotton, then the rest I can sit for hours……...
