that is, unless you live in an area that requires all guns to be registered, such as NYC...........and I've just proven the point of taking advice from the internet.
-
why is it that if you tell most other hunters that you could care less about killing big bucks that they think you're a liar?...............amazing.

I'm fairly confident that there is no data base that allows them to just call in a regular long guns serial # and instantly get info on who is the owner......as far as I know, the info that is obtained when you buy a long gun is only retained by the FFL holder who sold it.
-
we probably shot hundreds of them while duck hunting..........never recall any problems with them cycling properly or any other issues. The load itself was questionable, but that's another issue.

DEC usually has a list of classes on their website.......this time of year they fill up fast. http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/92267.html

I remember using "Activ" for Duck hunting.....I think I even have a few kicking around.
-
if it's a contest for the heaviest hog, I would fatten it up and kill it with whatever lets it retain the most body weight.........you certainly wouldn't want to blow it up with a big bullet.

The drunk who killed those four women was not a kid, 55 I believe......so that type of behavior cannot be blamed on the new generation, for the most part, I think the younger generation is actually smarter about drinking and driving then the older people.........as far as everything else that I think is wrong with today's society, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

I used a Leupold VX 3 in 1.5-5 for years.......never thought I didn't have enough scope.
-
well done...you did a very nice job.

opportunity abounds for everyone, all they need is the desire to seek it out and take advantage of it.......
-
it would be great if programs like this existed in the areas you mentioned...instead they resorted to contraception and sherpshooters........that's why I say take full advantage and be grateful they see the important rolls that hunters can play in deer control in suburban areas.
-
you also should consider that if hunters don't want to help control the population, they may resort to other methods..........
-
I would absolutely do it.........

I'm not a big trophy guy, never was and never will be.........nailed my woodland caribou to the shed and let the rodents have at it.......pictures serve me better than a dust collecting mount, but that's just me and am in NO way saying other's shouldn't, as I have stood in awe at some trophy rooms. I enjoy the experience around the harvest much much more.

I've never been, but I believe you can go to Africa twice for the cost of a Sheep or Grizzly hunt........
