The straps around the tree can go bad just from the weather. They also grow into the tree with no stretch to them. Also if they have steel cables holding the foot platform up the steel can/will rust from the inside out & can break or let go. Even the cables with a plastic coating will hold moisture inside & rust the steel.
Why do we drive on a freeway & pay tolls?
Why do our feet smell & our nose runs, are we built backwards?
Why do we eat hamburgers when they are made with beef?
I have been having them made the last few years from Canstanza's meats in Webster, NY & every one loves them. We refer to them as deer dogs. Boiled ,grilled or fried!
Ate one rabbit & one pheasant that I hit. I have a cop friend that gets all his deer meat as road kill. He has a kit in the cop car & when he gets a deer hit call if the driver doesn't want it he splits it down the back & cuts out the back straps. Always said he can get more than he could ever use.
My first car was a 53 Ford custom (I paid $35 for) that I had to replaced the trany in (for $15 myself) before I could put it on the road. Then I moved up to a 55 Chevy 2dr. hard top belair. Sold them both way too cheap! Wish I had both back now! I do still have 2 of the flex flyer sleds in the barn, I want my kids to take them but they could care less.
Dam Doc. I am old, I have seen them all! We only had a 2 hole out house . Pygmy, we didn't worry about high piles we had a special stick to knock them down or we slid the box out & cleaned it per Pa's orders!
Also had the gutters & cistern along with 2 outside wells with pumps on top!
I don't believe they know of things before the "Gun control act of 1968" . Years ago there were no questions asked, walk in buy a gun & walk out. No paper work & no phone calls made, nothing. I think there's lots of Grandpa's & Great grandpa's hand me down guns they don't know about.
Years ago a local farmer had a sign on his fence post stating " City hunters these are sheep not deer do not shoot!" I guess he had a few shot before the sign was up.
I had 2 sisters & 1 brother. ; Older sis., older brother, me, younger sis..
We grew up with a family down the street they had 17 live & 1-2 died. And most of them were all less than 2 yrs. apart. Mother was always knocked up!
