Same thing with a Ithaca mod. 37 ,12 ga., feather light, kicks like a frigging mule! I hardly notice my 30-06 recoil.

Seems like if the evolution of bows/x-bows keep going the way they are , pretty soon they be called rifles or slug guns! lol ! I must say, it does look like another nice little toy! I'd be willing to bet the NY bow hunters are not going to like these?

A friend of mine was sighting his new ML in for the first time & after 4-5 shots he told me his Ram rod was dead on at 50 yds! oops! lol

We bought 48 ac. of land locked property just 2 yrs. ago. We have a 16' wide easement across the neighbors property up into our land about 1/2 mile up to the top of the hill. I know the big problem was our lawyer wanted it stated in the contract with the owner of the easement property, that it said the words "ingress & egress easement" which I believe means even if the easement property owner was to sell his land we will still have the right to use this easement/right of way, as long as we own the land locked property. This was also stated this way in the old owners contract that sold us the land locked property. I hope this might help you out! Also, seeing that the property is land locked (undesirable to many) you should be able to get it at a lower price, we did. Another neighbor was interested in it because it border his land, but wanted it for pennies! Good luck! One other problem we noticed is, being landlocked it seems the old neighbors shall we say," get confused" and end up on the property. I also think it gets well used/crossed when we are not there. The border lines are well marked with painted trees & bright orange plastic pvc. at the corners, but we do not post it. being new to the area we don't we to be the "nips" from the city", but we may put up a few just to let people see the property lines. Just something to think about.

Same here, being a lineman for 40 yrs. my wife says every time our power was out I was gone working on everyone else's to restore power. After I retired the first time the power went out I bought a full house Generac generator! My wife said she sat in the dark for 40 yrs. with 2 kids . I did it once & because I couldn't watch Tv I got the generator! lol If you want a quiet gen look at the Hondas you can't hear them running. Jmo but I don't believe a person needs a full house gen. because how often do you have everything on at the same time?? I just put the really needed items & for sure the Tv! At first I felt guilty when I looked out the window & everyone else in the area was dark, but I got over it!

A friend of mine wanted to buy his son a Henry rifle with a tubular magazine for X-mas . He went to a gun shop & was told because it held more than 10 rounds (14-15) they could not sell it to him. I believe it was 22 cal. & would the cal. matter? I may be wrong, but I was under the impression that only auto loaders had to hold less than 10 rounds, not lever actions with tubular mags. ?? Of course this is in NY state!

I vote for the BC flip caps, I put them on my scoped 870 years ago after having the fog up problem & haven't had that problem since! jmo.

Between the plastic bags , bottles, & other plastic containers we are killing ourselves & our earth. These things don't break down. We see them in trees ,ditches, along & on fences it's disgusting. I carry in & carry out & pick up other trash on the way out. I feel we need to promote the "Don't litter" law & enforce it like it used to be back in the 60's & 70s! I hate when I see people (mostly teens) throw out Mickey D & other fast food trash out of their cars. I have already pulled next to cars at traffic lights & told them they dropped thrash from their cars & should be picked up when I see this happen. But now days you might get shot!

Same with all the gun laws! As mentioned maybe they took the bottom section because they didn't want you to get in the stand & have a chance to shoot "their" deer in their hunting area. At any rate it is total BS! Good luck finding it!

Might be a reason for a bad season as we sit in our stands. Sweating, sneezing, coughing, sniffling, burping, farting, smoking, drinking coffee, peeing out of the stand, moving all around & wondering why we don't see any deer. What the hell, what's up with that? Think about it. lol!

Congrats , nice bunch of deer! Not to steel your thunder but we did almost the same thing my first yr.(age 16) of deer hunting 50 yrs. ago. We had 7 hunters & we all got deer, 6 bucks & 1 doe & we were done & out of the woods by 3 pm. We even made the Buffalo news back then. I can tell you ,you will always remember it like it was yesterday, it was a great time had by all. Again, Congrats!

Can't get them laying in bed or sitting on the couch! I have shot my3 biggest bucks on the last day of shotgun season & the first day of late ML seasons.

Not seeing deer? I talked to a farmer yesterday , he said his family normally get 8-10 der a yr. & they use all the meat so far this season they only have 3 & are not seeing many. He told me his neighbor shot 17 deer during the summer on a nuisance permit & just threw them over the bank! He was pi$$ed, & what a waste ! I say do away with the nuisance permits or make the users show their results & donate the deer to the food pantries.

I tie 2 ropes (25') to the seat part of the climber one for my weapon & one for my pack left on the ground. I climb up to 18-20' secure the climber then pull up the weapon & the pack if needed other wise I leave it on the ground but ready if I need it. I am always tethered in around the tree. I use the "Third hand climbing stand stabilizer straps" with the climber which really make it solid on the tree(great item/idea) check them out on u tube. I am also a sweater, I can sweat just watching the grass grow! I also use a "Q-Safe safety strap" this thing is great also, jmo.
