  1. Just do what you did on the first 3. lol. You shooting instinctive? Gap is much easier to remain consistent in my experience. I tend to run hot and cold if I shoot instinctive, especially past about 15 yds.
  2. Great shooting with that bow!
  3. What! I was expecting robin hoods by now! Get an emergency tech!
  4. I can only remember one time where I had to hold for an extended period and if I didn't draw early after calling the buck in, I probably could have waited and drawn later without such a long hold (he was staring in my direction for the buck that snort wheezed him). Most times, less than 5 seconds from draw to shot. You can work on holding but I wouldn't fret too much about it.
  5. Seems like it would work great in my 1/3 acre plot but I have always been concerned it will be mowed down way before the season starts. Maybe if I use some the deterrents you mention I could hold them off until season. How deep do you need to plant soybeans? I thought a drill is required.
  6. That is great Bryan. How big is the plot and how long before the deer crushed it?
  7. In addition to shooter fatigue, I have read a few times that vertical stringing can be caused by the fit with the barrel extension and the barrel nut on ARs. Some suggested blue Loctite and claimed it solved the problem. I am not expert just regurgitating what I read ... well maybe that makes me an "expert." lol Here is one thread where it was discussed. https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/Vertical_Stringing/118-539075/
  8. Sorry to here it!. No insurance? Maybe a claim against homeowners where the boat was stored or boat insurance if you have it.
  9. Clover and brassica combo is what I used to try to draw early and later. But I know the brassicas will eventually shade out the clover in spots.
  10. You can do it all at once, but the new seeds will be competing with whatever weeds return. Better practice to kill it off first, then cut, till and plant. But with limited time and a 5 hour drive, I would be very tempted to just do it all at once. Wont look pretty but if you get good germination, it should still be a draw.
  11. Is it a pair of old turkey feet? Perhaps he is starting my collection with those ones his dog found. lol
  12. Looks like fun. Sorry I missed this one.
  13. I got one cleared when my kids took off with the atv. The 9 year is getting the hang of it.
  14. Hi lux. Never heard of it? Neither did I. But it has performed flawlessly. Clear and never fogs. Held zero for the last 5 season. And not overly expensive. Love it. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2275435025/leatherwood-hi-lux-toby-bridges-hpml-rifle-scope-3-9x-40mm-muzzleloader-ranging-reticle-matte
  15. I like it for a change and more importantly it looks like you can make it fit like a glove.
  16. But a set of lighter limbs. Money well spent if you plan to hunt with a single string. Bad habits are hard to break once they become part of your shot routine. 30lbs are a great weight for form. You will be able to use that 45lb in no time once the right muscles are being used. And form work with light limbs never hurts.
  17. 52” and 50lb are very tough specs to learn on if you are just starting with a recurve. Not sure of your experience. I am a decent shot with a recurve and find 52” to be very unforgiving. Too much string on the fingers. Regardless cool bow. Good luck.
  18. It’s a not a BH issue for you. Since you are confident your grip is good, I bet you are plucking. Try setting your hook deeper. Getting your fingernails to face your face vs forward. It’s ok if the string is a bit deeper than first joint. The bow should quiet down more when you aren’t plucking too since the string is coming off your fingers at an angle towards bow arm when plucking which causes noise as string isn’t hitting groove evenly. I can hear it in the bow if I pluck. And good back tension with a follow through will help avoid plucking too. Try to keep a relaxed forearm. You want your string hand naturally moving back not out (away from face) when u release. Usually when one plucks, the string hand moves away and out from face at release. Lots to consider. Pulling with your arm vs back will elicit a pluck too.
  19. By the way, a deeper hook helps to avoid plucking.
  20. Plucking the string can cause it. It’s a fine line. Good alignment will bring that string darn close. A pluck will then cause the string to move slap the arm. Where are you hitting? Forearm or closer to wrist? And what BH?
  21. Look forward to hearing about it.
  22. Ryno What caliber do you typically recommend for a safari? Do you supply rifles or do people bring their own? I have no idea how difficult travel is overseas with a rifle.
  23. I have taken the trailer in the fields over some bumpy ground. The straps do not come loose. Its a great simple system. I was planning on ordering the mighty tite, but see no reason after using these. Worth repositioning.
