  1. 12 gauge with minimum 3" capacity. Might even be willing to trade the .308 winchester 100 I got from Machinist for a 12 gauge of similar value. Let me know what you have. Thx.
  2. The old ariens blowers do go forever. Had one that my father used in the early 70s on his driveway. I bought a new one (red one and forget the brand name) 5-6 years ago when chase pitkens when out of business. Kinda wish I kept the ariens but gave it away. At least this one has electric start. That said, even the carpeted bed sissy truck can make it through deep snow, so I rarely snow blow.
  3. Off subject, but why is it lately that I can't see any posted photos. Just red X and even with a right click it won't open the picture. Anyways, congrats on what sounds like nice groups. I need to pull the recurve out again soon.
  4. I understand your point. It supposed to be based on professional judgment, but in the end, just like judges considering an application for a protective order, do you want to be the one that failed to report and then something happens? Causes the decision maker to error heavily on the side of reporting.
  5. Culver I didn't read the whole thread, but there are certain exceptions under HIPPA, including: To report PHI to law enforcement when required by law to do so (45 CFR 164.512(f)(1)(i)). This means that a covered entity (doctor) may report information required by law without violating HIPPA. SAFE Act requires reporting when in the judgment of the provider, the individual is a harm to himself or others. Thus, that provider does not violate HIPPA when complying with his/her obligations under the SAFE Act.
  6. I did phade, but then I would have missed all the fun
  7. Good job joe. I like to set my 20yd pin 1" low since people tend to shoot high from a stand. Regardless, its coming together.
  8. RIGGHHTTT. You would have needed an UZI the way he was charging through that brush. I did have on my adidas sweats, so I was prepared.
  9. Mike at Heritage Archery in Phelps is great.
  10. I want to learn to predator hunt from you Hounds. Nice job AGAIN.
  11. Funny Doc. You nailed it. I visited Venezula and that is exactly how Chavez maintained power. The majority of those that voted were reliant on government jobs provided by Chavez. That, and the threats from the national police that were all paid by the Chavez government. I actually stood 5 feet away while military police were on a rant telling the poor and unemployed how they had to support Chavez with machine gun in hand. I know its hasn't gone to that extreme here, but I do agree that many politician's first concern is thier own position with "the good of the people and this Country" a distant second or third.
  12. Thx - may have to give one a shot at some point. I could see it particulary useful if taking a shot from an awkward angle, under a limb, etc.
  13. NYBuck50 - how often do you check that retina lock before shooting? Never tried one, and it seems like a great idea, but my concern would be becoming too preoccupied with making sure that lock is centered and not paying attention to the target and pin. Just curious if it can become a distraction or obsession that may cause you to lose focus on the deer when that monster walks by. Does it result in too many checks before shooting (grip, anchor, target, pin and now a retina lock)? Do you check the lock more than once? Also, do you still use your peep or have you eliminated it? Last year I used a spot hogg hunter on both bows and really like them, but did pick up an axcel amourtech vision to try out with the larger 2" housing. I like everything about it better than the spot hogg except pin brightness. I guess a light cures that if necessary. The axcel is a tank of a sight.
  14. Congrats. Nice to have a place to hunt after you tage out early here. Here's to 2 slobs for you.
  15. If that's the retina sight, you see quite a few pop up for sale on AT
  16. The story is great. I can't imagine seeing him so many times and then finally connecting. I aslo can't imagine how bummed he was the day the got busted climbing down. But that certainly changed. lol
  17. Looks like a great parcel. Think about the golfers as hunters and be sure to consider their movement early and late and how that may push or move the deer. Ex. - early morning early season you may have golfers on holes 1-3 - where are those holes located and where would they push the deer if playing the course. Likewise, you aren't likey to see deer near the edges of the last 3 holes if those holes are being played until just before dark. Just one more thing to consider along with the typical wind, travel routes, entry/exit and bedding.
  18. Btw - I think you should be able to negotiate a lower than standard rate since there are not many "showings" for vacant land. Its basically just listed on the Board and Broker's website. Many Broker's will deal.
  19. 6% is standard in Monroe County with a split if there is a broker on the buyer's end but the seller pays the whole thing usually.
  20. The bigger question is, "does the truck come with a carpeted bed?"
  21. Do NOT heat tendonitis, it will make it worse. Heat for muscle strains makes sense as it brings blood in for the healing process. Tendons have very limited blood flow (exterior) and the heat will cause further inflamation. Rest and NSAIDs are the best protocol. This is based on my own experieince and advice from my cousin who is a physician. I have had occasional tendonitis bouts due to years of weightlifitng, but they have all healed in time.
  22. Always nice to confirm that you DON'T want to "upgrade" to the newest model. I will keep the 6.2L gas guzzler, carbon footprint be damned.
  23. It actually looks like he is putting weight on the knee in the second to last photo of the first post. That has to hurt. Will to live for sure.
