Woah 2 by age 11? Personally if it was my kid, id be stoping him from even watching football. We're only realizing how bad CTE is now, and from what we already know its not too good. At age 11 he has plenty of time to find some other activities for him to be persuing instead of one that is already causing harm. Very tough decision, but I think it has to be made Edit: Should have read the rest of the thread before I responded lol. I think you made a good decision imo

As far as I know there are none that are pushing for bear baiting. Like you said, they're mostly a target of opprotunity by deer hunters. A lot of people pass bear becuase they don't want to deal with them, so I think baiting is needed. We dont really have a bear hunting culture like they do in PA. The only thing good that we have is a very long bear season, but it doesnt help when people arent really targeting them much

You have to be fair in how you treat tresspassers, but also ruthless at the same time. If you're always nice to them they'll walk all over you

Sounds like he doesnt care that you lease it, he's going to do what he wants to do no matter how you like it. He tried to be a bully...especially when he said don't bother his son. Id have another conversation with him saying there are no if ands or buts, don't shoot toward or come on the property unless you're tracking a deer. Only way to deal with these guys is to be stern in what you expect

I found some Avian X foam flilled black duck decoys for a pretty good deal. Any of you guys ever try that decoy?

Where I hunt, I see way more blacks than mallards for some reason. But ill make sure to get some more mallard decoys as well. You guys werent joking when you said you spend a lot of money on duck hunting!!
