    Went out on Friday after placing some cams out for deer season. Definitely caught well over 2 dozen smallies and 3 catfish in the short time I was there. All fish were caught in flies believe it or not. Can’t wait to get back out there because my fishing season until now has really sucked Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Sounds like you got the best of both worlds. The good thing is you know pressure is going to be light on your fathers property the whole season, but the public land will get pretty bad probably

    When do they usually move on to other properties?

    Could be a lucky day, but that means that they're in there somewhere and probably will stay there the first couple weeks of october

    Thats a lot of bucks to see, let alone on public land. Id definitely hunt there opening day. You have to hunt where the deer are

    Id do that as soon as possible if you can. Thats a nice 8 point, im ecxited to see how it goes. Id say target him now because he can shift that range after the second or third week

    About 20-30 non members showed up.Not a bad crowd this year, but far from our best

    Maybe scout once more and try to find the bedding area? Get in super early and see if the other hunters will push the deer to you

    I say both are turkey. Top is a primary feather and the bottom is the tail feather from a hen

    Last year I went out alone most of the time, and probably will for the most part this year too. Not a fan of hunting alone becuase I get lonely fast, but its easier in a lot of ways for me

    Looks like you've turned things around. Killed my best bucks on proeprties the owner was convinced there were no deer left. Hed see nothing and id see groups of deer all day long. Definitely check that 125 acres out if you can, but don't discount the 2.5 acres either. Get out and scout

    Looking good. My next rifle will either be a 7mm-08 or 6.5 creedmore. You're definitely going to love the gun and caliber

    Ill be hunting some new areas of the properties I hunt this year. Going to be aggressive again this year since thats how I end up doing the best anyway. Hoping to get a shot at a nice buck again this year and maybe if im lucky ill get another crack at a big one on public land again. Hurt to mess that shot up last year

    Does anyone know of any processors that are open for the early bear season near Roscoe NY? Im planning on going out of the early season and if im lucky, ill be donating the meat to my archery club and they'll be paying for the butchering

    It does, but the body looks identical in the pics, which wouldnt be the case for a 6.5 year old. Even if hes on the downside

    I dont think its the same buck. They look to be about the same age and antler size. Id say its a son or relative of that deer

    Congrats on the weight loss! Definitely a big accomplishment. Do you currently hit the gym or did you drop all of this weight just by changing your diet?

    Might take a little while for deer to figure out its there, but you should have some deer activitey shortley. Pretty cool to have a bear to walk through

    Nothing yet. Same thing happened to me last year, where I got my dmp tags in the mail before I got my regular tags.

    Just picked my father and I's doe tags and we both got 2 doe tags as usual

    You can get an 870 or mossy 500 for 300-400 bucks I think
