You’re recert is done for now, in three years you’ll have to go through the entire process that a person applying for the first time does , that’s when the 16 hour class, two hour live fire and written test comes into play . Most guys here don’t care as they think it doesn’t effect them lol . I bought a semi auto rifle two days ago, because of the Sept first deadline . Ammo wise idk the system won’t be in place that’s for sure ,will that stop sales idk that either . If It does I ve got tons of hunting ammo I’ll let go come Oct for $4 Or $5 a bullet , 20 round minimum. Because you know few stocked up , just like every other time ……it’s sad .

Just read the dates , Sept 10, yikes , I’m still trying to stretch out pool season . Hard no, but 8H isn’t in it anyways .

If I had my way , I’d have been cooking burgers in a park with a washtub of Genny , but when women are involved, i seldom get my way . Fortunately, five people kicked in towards the event .

We stayed at the Hyatt , while at the front desk,two young nicely dressed girls asked about the public market and if it was walkable or should they use Uber . The desk said it’s not to bad of a walk . I pulled them aside and said no , you should Uber , that they’ll be safe at the market , but there’s some very bad areas around it . One person killed on Penn. Ave two days later , Penn Ave runs along the north side of the market .

Best of luck . We had it in June ,very mild never lost taste ,or smell, one day of minor fever , we were camping and just stayed at the campground . End of the month we go to Alaska , tour requires some special test no more two days prior to tour. So the day before we leave home … then for the curse part we need to take a test over FaceTime . Then the cruise ends in BC so we need the Arrive Canada app and do all that bs . So far are planning has been all about tests, paperwork ,vac cards and apps, verification with tour group that we have everything we need to go and not hiking gear ,planning excursions and dinning .

Much of that by me was brought on by the qdm movement , rather if it’s actually followed correctly is up,for debate. Land where everyone could hunt whatever they wanted is now off limits ( no access ) and hunted by one or two now who just sit and shoot only one big buck apiece . Need to,keep the does to,lure the bucks, how often have you heard that here ? How many doe kills are posted ? Instead of giving me 8 or so doe tags , how’s about I fill two to get a buck tag ? Theres few deer hunters left, only buck hunters , and Lord help you If you shoot a young one !

I may or may not have bought a Ruger PC9 carbine today . Sweet little semi auto that takes my Glock mags . Pretty hard to find right now they got 2 in 4 business days ago , now they have zero again . NY complaint, kinda like the Mini 14 is . Got a good price too .

Look closer I’m actually on his shoulder , sometimes you just gotta sit back and take it all in ,it was a long demanding day . Haro East downtown stayed at the Hyatt . Although he failed to get Dawson Knox of the Bills to stop by ,they’re friends and were texting back and forth the day prior about his boat and such . Dawson just bought a house on the same lake in Tenn. and wants to check out my nephews surf, wake board boat .

Two,things, many came up to me said how good I looked , the issue was they all said it with a shocked look on their face ….almost in disbelief. What a ,long day , but it went flawlessly, two,comments I heard often was, “ the best wedding I’ve been to.” And the food was awesome.” Brisket out of this world , chicken French was great , the sides top notch , coconut shrimp ,meatballs , stuffed mushrooms all,of it great Open bar all night, Makers Mark, Sapphire ect , gal who ran the event venue was just the best . There were people from the west coast , Fla, Virginia, Tennessee Delaware, Mass. Conn. and on and on . I cried more then when the Beagle died . I had and still have a lever action Daisy ,and a Hahn co2 rifle . Hahn was crosman before they were Crosman….Made up,the road from me .

How long is a piece of string ? 180 lunches is not 180# s of meat in my world , 1/2 pound per day would be plenty , I believe some Hamburg joints sell 1/4 pounders and they sell very well to the lunch crowd . One big buck or a couple of does , 4 fawns , one average buck and a doe , or two fawns and an average buck , are we using wolc123’s girth chart ? So many factors .

Here’s a fun fact 70% of our RX and OTC meds come from “overseas , “ china makes some but they also supply the other countries with lots of the raw materials they need to make them . Keep F ing around with China and drugstore shelves will soon after somewhat bare . For sometime imaging fluid , needed for CAT scans have been in short supply ,to the point they are rationing who gets one . All the fluid we use is made in one part of China, and that area is on lock down . People say ,oh we’re their biggest customer, for so many things so they’ll always supply us . I don’t expect them to make logical business decisions as they retaliate against us .

This is actually a bigger deal here then when it happened . I wasn’t there and learned of it weeks after . I just got off the phone with a brother FF who’s dad owned a restaurant here for decades , my friend worked there since a kid then owned it for many years , they had a “ party room .” His first response was ,” never heard of such a thing , WTF would I do with left overs ?” “ I’ve run over a thousand parties , the food belongs to who hired me .” Then when I told him the place, he said ,” I know him he’s sketchy as hell .” it seems to be a regional thing ,as it’s largely unheard of here

Thanks , I understand but no it doesn’t make sense . Never in scores of retirement ,Christmas, private parties weddings and such have I once ran into this . It’s all been per person , with a head count needed prior . Being upfront about things and put it in writing would be nice no ?

interesting , I was not there nor did I learn of it until yesterday ,while discussing the upcoming events with my wife , when she told me about it . I’d say it would be easier to be upfront about it and have it in writing when deposit was made . Meeting of the minds and all that . There was no signed contract , nor was anything told to her prior , so their “policy ,or industry standard “ has no baring in this matter . Never ran across such a thing ,and everything is per person . It’s all in the passed now .

So how it’s ordered is a NYS regulation as too take home ? I believe it was per person , just like the wedding and rehearsal dinner is .

Where ? I recently bought another 1000 rounds of 9mm ball for 32 cents or so a round , .22 can be bought for ten cents or so a round . But I’m good with 10k of that in the bunker .

Speaking of regulations, these joints are in the City , I see a rough patch ahead on their next inspections . Hell I might point out some violations while I’m there JK…maybe . I don’t want to stuff plastic bags, but covered trays of untouched wraps should go to my neighbors ,and well a couple for me . Private party at a restaurant near Village Gate, serving stations , they announced to take home whatever you wanted . Im just trying to see if there’s an actual code on buffet style food or if I’m just being scammed ,well the whole wedding industry is a scam anyways .

Has anyone run into this or work in the industry ? So with all the wedding stuff, shower, rehearsal dinner and so on ,we’ve been told we can’t bring left over food home that we paid for . So the shower there were sealed trays of wraps left , wife was told NYS Regs don’t allow them to let people bring it home . WTF we paid for it , and if we ate dinner there, we could bring leftovers home . When asked what they do with it ,oh employees will eat some of it , then get this they had a Wrap special on the board that night , so they sell it twice . If nothing else I would have dropped it off at a firehouse . Same deal at the upcoming rehearsal dinner .

We did that too, I don’t really recommend the bent coat hanger way . We had a short piece of pvc attached to the end of the longer piece , the cord went through both , it was tied off at the end of the short piece ( washer ) then up,through the long piece where you’d pull,it . It’s easier to keep the loop free and open that way . Once caught we’d head shoot it with .22 bird shot, we’d also cover the guy working the pvc as those snakes were not happy, and .22 bird shot to my foot was preferable to a .22 solid .
