I should add that only happens a time or two a year in practice. I don’t know much of the technical stuff or terms, I mean I first heard the term back tension a few years ago . I’ve been killing them with a bow for 30 years though . Nice pics of the Buffalo guys .

Ha ha ,no Prilosec , that was only $4 and change, beer was 10x that .
-
Good luck ! I recognize some of those stands ..... I haven’t been on the land since shed season, once it cools down late Aug. I’ll put up some new ladders .

Sorry double, post .so I’ll add this here . DB , my bow has a very narrow valley , for me ,I found I have to keep a lot of back tension , if I let off ,my arm tends to go forward a bit just as I hit the trigger and I get really wild flyers .

When I shot with a friend in his barn , one drill we’d do,is hold for one minute, then shoot . I don’t recall the hits being too bad. My bow was probably around mid to upper 50s then 65 % let off real narrow, valley . When I say barn , hardwood floors upstairs , well lit finished off with 50 some sheets of plywood painted white . His daughters AAU B.B. team used to,practice there.

Yes , and thank you . It’s always nice putting a face to the name, and so far everyone I’ve met from here has been a stand up guy or girl .

I loved the place. I would bow hunt the morning shoot my slug gun on their range , eat and be back on stand for the afternoon . Ya know I’ll ask, around about the closing , I don’t remember the story to well .

Love Robbin Trower . My first concert was at the Dome also, KISS , and Lou Gramms first band Black Sheep opened , REO was to,open but cancelled or something. Around ‘75 I think .

Creekside, is / was surrounded by the farm I hunt . Great shop, but all the ya hoos that shot on their range prior to deer season, would come back and “ hunt “ ( trespass ) on the farm . When a guy I know opened a new gun shop in the area His signs for the shop would be stolen at night , the owner of Creekside was caught stealing them one night . Beikirchs will reopen this fall in Henrietta under a new name .

I just rearranged skull rock in our backyard , critters are always dragging them all, over, when they’re not eating the antlers on the spot .

To,me it’s it’s either light reflection, as NFA ADK and the guy who took pic said , or someone messed with his photo which seems unlikely . I tried to,join a couple photographers forums, but they were a pain, have to pay to upload photos or have so many posts before you can upload .

The "Boy Crisis" in America
Nomad replied to Rattler's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
That’s so,sad. One of my first full time jobs at 18, was loading pots for sandblasters , 100 pound bags, 5 per pot , kept two pots running all day . Structural painting company worked 60 hours a week , and sometimes three weeks before I got a day off . I loved it made good money , felt like a bad ass . From there I went to work for a mechanical contractor working for oil companies , pipe line work , remodeling gas stations , building dikes around tanks , lots of jackhammering and bull work . I made over 2x what my friends were making , I was fit ,tan and had a pocket full of money . the good old days -
Rally’s are nice in that they make those going feel good . Power comes from money and votes period . Join pro 2A groups because they look at those numbers as votes for that side , and toss them a little coin from time to time, or better yet buy another membership for friends or family . Right now based on 6 million Nra members and dividing that by 50 states that comes out to, 120,000 members per state , of course each state red/ blue , and population differences change that , but it’s an average . In close senate races you think that doesn’t weigh on their minds ? think if we doubled those numbers ! good post Charlie ! You know the only semi auto long gun I own is a wood stocked . 22, but I understand the end game . come on though you can get a good deal, who cares if they use your money to pay lobbyists to promote gun you control got a cheap camera.........

Ya , the whole block was dancing in the street when the for sale sign went up . Now I’m not sure which is worse criminals or ghosts , I mean I got plenty of lead to stop the one kind , what do I need now ? Silver bullets, Holy water , garlic ? But the ghosts are much quitter. Don’t even rattle chains.

Beikirchs, closed. But is opening a new store, same great sales and staff, in Henrietta this Fall . Selling some guns that you approve of because I guess they’re mostly hunting and the like does not make you pro 2A , just the opposite . Think of free speech , I don’t have to like what you’re saying but I’ll defend your right to say it . In this case, Dicks is saying , I don’t like these guns so I won’t sell them . They’re choice but in these times I can’t do business with them .

Ha no, buts that’s pretty funny .
