Daughter who lives in Buff, is coming home this weekend. She said remind me to bring Zweigels back to Buff. I said aren’t you supposed to eat Sahlens now ? She said she wants to test the two with her friends up,there . Sorry, guys not giving out the address !

So I’m in Wegman beer isle next to two women, one says “idk all day something “, I ask Founders All Day IPA? It’s right there . “Oh Great thanks .” Couple minutes later in another isle ,the attractive one, sees me and says kinda joking ,” hey could do you help,us find the popcorn too ? “ “Sure , there’s plenty at my house .....”

If you’re ever in Rochester tour the George Eastman house, he was the founder of Eastman Kodak, there are several of his mounts there,including an elephant on the wall. The house and museum are right next to the firehouse I worked at towards the end of my career, it was always fun to,go,there at 3 AM for an automatic alarm and be walking around inside with a flashlight and run into one of those mounts .....

Remember the Webster kangaroo ? It was idk 20 or more years ago, all these sightings of a kangaroo in my town , I always figured it was some sort of deer ,perhaps with front legs shot off or something . Found it ,1,995 ,man I love the inter web !

There is a farm not far from a state park we all love, who’s house has a bunch of true jaw droppers . Never entered in anything, no pics on social media, heck a guy who married into the family wasn’t allowed to see them for a few years . Thats why I chuckle at those lists of the “ biggest “ bucks killed in NYS each year , that a list of the biggest ones they told you about .

In my friends yard , you can drive up and park 20 yards from the deer, get out and walk into the house . But cross the creek 20 feet behind the house and go up in a stand 30 yards in and it’s no different then hunting them, in any woods , one squeak , or wrong wind and they’re gone .

Only non ladder stand I kept, LW with sticks. Traded my LW climber for plumbing work and sold all my hang ons .

On the other hand every year just before gun season , I have the same dream, where walking in through a farm field I come upon a flying saucer, and a group of aliens, one of which I have to kill . Not sure if that’s a big game animal or not, but I’d def do that hunt .

Anyone that would require getting up before 4:30 AM, or walking much more then a half a mile . Oh and no creepy bugs, snakes , or hot temperatures , or real cold too I guess .

Ah this whole bullying thing, has me idk confused . I graduated HS in ‘77, we were all bullied and bullies . to ride my bike to my friends house I had to avoid an older group of guys, otherwise they would routinely run out and punch me as I rode by, I got good at taking a punch and not falling off the bike ..... I’d get to,my buddies forget about it and shoot hoops . In school there was this one kid two grades above me and he flunked at couple years as well, he’d just walk up,behind me and whack me in the back of my head or kick me, fighting back , would have cost me a couple teeth I’d guess . I have a friend who went to East High, he didn’t look like most there , and would get down right beat, he had to run home from school through backyards jumping fences . One time his buddy went down and was beat with a brick, my buddy stayed on his feet and faired better . Another friend went to Charlotte HS and got hit by the BB team almost daily .He was a tall pale, very thin kid and easy target in that school . So when folks are bullied with words, I just kinda think , wow that would have been nice because we got words and fists .

I’ve hunted two Western states, one being Montana . I was disappointed to see many guys just drive back roads in their pick ups glassing fields, then walk a bit to shoot the buck they want. One spot my friend goes you can see 200- 300 deer a day this way . While elk hunting guys were parked , sitting in their trucks, rifle on dash just waiting for the elk to cross the road, off private land to the other side of the road which is public. Even hunting the river bottoms was pretty easy .

I saw this on the news, that’s just terrible, when it’s called right at the scene, you know it was horrible.

I believe it was Trace Adkins that was a WW spokesman, now him I can’t stand .

I googled AJ and WW , but nothing turned up . Ive heard a ,lot of negative things about them , and my daughters former BF Marine, Purple Hearts ( 2) bronze Star, was not a fan of them at all to,put it mildly . I haven’t done that sort of thing, since you had to roll joints on the center of a double LP to sort out the seeds and stems. Speaking of which Comander Cody’s , Down To Seeds And Stems , brings a tear to my eye .

Watch t it ! He was my favorite for many many years , saw him a bunch got him to sign my Drive CD, ( contains the 911 song Where Were you When the World Stopped Turning ) in Rochester back in ‘ 02 . Also,got Willie Nelson right off his tour bus ( he never stays in the hotels ) in a parking lot, to sign a Blade Magazine, that he was on the cover of . Shania Twain back when she was hot, I had the knack for stalking, it’s what helps me excel at hunting, oh John Melloncamp to, but I worked security for him when he was filming a movie here . His super model wife was very nice and friendly , he was “ ok” at best .

Might as well tick,off the tattoo folks..... oh and for the record our daughter ( a cpa, no,less) has one in the red zone and one in the blue . A small symbol on the inside of a finger , and a tiny mermaid behind an ear , that could be covered with a dime . We were not,pleased with the behind the ear, but you can’t see it the way she wears her hair.

At least those folks , are easy to spot and avoid, think of those tattoos and piercings as warning labels you can spot from afar .
