Congrats , I have little experience or knowledge on the subject , however I’d avoid doing this. A few nights ago at my Nepwhews place in Michigan, around midnight after drinking for a few hours, he turns to his kid and says, “take Uncle Lar out on the ATVs. The yard is five acres ,tons of trees, a pond, giant pool ,rock walls and so on .So off I go barefoot , no helmet,drunk, following a sober, 16 Y/O .... Next morning, I thought that was pretty dumb, and a lot of fun .

Ditto .

Still gotta toss these on that grill, been pounding G & T and eating Shrimp and all kinds of other stuff in the pool .

Do a google search . Some will say, long range need, others will say today’s enemy wears body amour making it necessary. Other say each ten years the military does a new gun search and comes back to the . 223 anyways . This is nothing new . wolc do,you know how much weight today’s soldiers carry around ? A Marine can hump 130 plus pounds , daughters last BF carried a gun that weighed about 100 pounds, he also,lost two inches in height ....due to that . Ammo weight is small potatoes.

Ya know I don’t think I,own any favorite guns . To me they are tools. I sold all the guns I got from my Dad and Grandfather, I never shot them and they took up room in the safe ,so,after 20 some years off they went . I do love my SW 586 .357 I just shoot that gun very well. My Glock 19 same thing, and with 15 plus 1 , that’s a lot of rounds . Ok my Davis .22 Derringer, got $50 from my Grandma for my birthday 30 some years ago, and bought it for $47 . Not good for much, but it goes bang each trigger pull, and it’s a fun little gun . Of course my Henry Golden Boy Firefighters Tribute edition .

My childhood dog may have taken a few hits from one of these ! Those cannon balls were pretty hard , no nerf crap . I removed the cannon from the cart so I could run and fire it . This ad wouldn’t cut it today either .

It’s how it should be . In that district are lots of young people, I always had my driver stop, and we’d push girls stuck cars out of snow banks and so on . I always tried to,help,them or even if it fell outside of our job . We were Leaving an ems call and saw a mother and daughter struggling to carry a window AC unit up the stairs, my guys grabbed it and carried up, and installed it . ( please don’t call 911 for this .....) One time a WWII vet who,frankly should not be driving hit a curb out front and blew two tires, we took him inside made phone calls to family , to no avail, finally AAA came and we pretty much forced him to drive him home after the tow . If you’re a FF family member it should be no questions asked .

Daughter number one, has been on vacation for over two weeks , 12 shift hour tomorrow, and she locks keys in her car a bit ago, spare key? Also in car ...... Calls AAA, long wait they’ll call back , she wants to go to bed due to long shift . I call closest firehouse ,”hey it’s Larry Xxxx can you do me a favor,?” “Depends what? “ ”My daughter locked her keys in her car, “ before I could finish , “ what’s her address ?” Less then ten minutes from my call, she has her keys . Of course now she has to bake them something ! It’s a good feeling knowing you got 100’s of guys backing you up .

Drive around a college campus mid May, all the mini fridges and plastic sets of drawers,you can fit in a big rig .

Ha, don’t know never drink the stuff normally . I had some Carmel ice cream with malted milk balls, back home now with a gin and tonic .

No,pics , venison back straps, grilled vegetables, Mac salad, and a friends wine. Grows a few acres of a grape he got from Cornell, and makes a few hundred cases . Next stop Pittsford dairy for ice cream

She does mostly well traveled trails, the thing Ive learned from her is that half the battle is the roads to the trailhead . Most say high clearance vehicles required , they had a Ford Focus.... that’s what happens when you don’t rent the car way ahead of time ,none left . She uses Instagram for current updates of the roads, as folks post their hikes almost in real time. Many wash outs, pot holes, rocks ,loose gravel, some will be snow covered , wrong turns can lead to a narrow road you can’t turn around on . They cancelled Kelly Butte in Wash. because of the road conditions , honestly I was glad of that. And apparently one can just walk up to Elk, that’s annoying.

Will do, but I’m going to,the gym first . I try to balance my good and bad habits .

Each year her and a freind go,out and visit friends there , and do some hikes in both states . She must have 100’s of pics , but only a few on FB where i grabbed these. Each time I express my displeasure at her to close to edges , she has to bring up our trip to,the Grand Canyon,like 15 years ago, where I pointed out the blocked off areas , I climbed out past in my youth . What can I say she got me .

No,I’m cousin Eddie coming for the visit . Wifes nephews house , they love guests , stay as long as we like , well Michigan does have decent deer hunting ......

Ha ! Flew into Juneau, took a puddle jumper to Skagway, hired a guy in a pick,up to drive us to Whitehorse,put a canoe into the North branch of the Big Salmon then into the Yukon river. By August the first snow falls in the mountains and that river never warms up ! i still remember bathing in it instant head ache .

I’ll be hanging around the pool most of next week. Cousin Eddies , coming for a visit !
