  1. If I’m naked in the woods and no one is around to see, do I make a noise , or something like that .

  3. Was at work at 2 AM, so we took the city for an hour ......
  4. 490 east between Leroy exit and idk chili somewhere , along the expressway in a thin strip of woods ( south side ) is a blue plastic outhouse up in a tree .
  5. That’s a pretty common thought lately of many hard line , no compromise gun guys . It does certainly look like we’re going to loose more under Trump, then Obummer . Itll be interesting to,see the NRA board vote as well, as there is another , although smaller revolt brewing . Belo , I’m not sure if I’m one “not seeing the big picture “lol. My post was to show that none of the big boxes are major gun movers , as some seem to,think . The biggest accounts for like 4% of gun sales .
  6. I’ve used Golden Oak stain and its worked well, a guy named Peter Porter online sells “ antler Magic” That is supposed to work really well. It’s hard to track down , but I have his email if anyone wants . Here’s a Golden Oak done one .
  7. Own 116 but don’t hunt that,, farm I hunt is around 3,000 . The farm and many around us do “ manage “ it .
  8. I do like some 5.11 gear. I get it through a clothing allowance at work. Don't know anyone who ever bought it from Dicks, mostly uniform shops , or,ordered , seems an odd fit for a sporting goods store .
  9. None of the big box stores account for much in gun sales overall . According Southwick’s research, 12 percent of modern sporting rifles, like the AR-15, are purchased from outdoor specialty retailers. Traditional rifles, or hunting rifles, are purchased from such stores 22.7 percent of the time, according to 2017 data. A majority of gun sales take place at mom and pop stores. A smaller number of sales happen at gun shows, according to Southwick's.
  10. I know of a farm that uses heaters , but with 20 LB propane tanks in their deer blinds , those little green tanks don’t last all that long . Just don’t make adjustments to,the heater , I don’t remember off hand but guys try to get more flame or something out of them and that disables the low O2 senor . Just google ,” ice fishermen deaths , heaters “ for related info. The issue with the large blinds are one guy can’t cover or watch all four sides , at least the 16x16 one I know of Good read. http://www.woods-n-waternews.com/Articles-i-2009-03-01-192153.112113_Carbon_monoxide_poisoning.html.
  11. It’s on like never before . Dicks is a sneaker store, I’ve read that around ten percent of their sales is from guns/ hunting ,now losing foot traffic from folks looking for guns and hunting stuff, who,now don’t by sneakers and over priced clothes may have some affect . But I don’t not expect much .
  12. I have a friend in Washington state , he’s an attorney and traditional bow hunter . He’s held most offices in his state bow association, and he’s worked for free as an attorney fighting the antis . He grew up,by me in Webster NY, he got interested in hunting because on his morning paper route there always was deer hanging for trees in guys front yards . One reason I still often bring one home to hang , then the butchers .
  13. Posted this a time or two . Ive been deer hunting 40 some years , never owned a pick up, today I drive an Outback . Discrete my a$$, I circled Eastview Mall with this one . Dont hide your deer, the more hunters remove things from the public’s eye, the less excepting It becomes . Be proud, be polite but don’t hide in the shadows , or under a tarp . Oh and welcome !
  14. So a guy at work lives in a trendy suburb, that has deer issues . So,one evening a deer is in his garden , so,he shoots it with a pellet gun . Next morning neighbor knocks on his door to tell him there a dead deer in his yard .....
  15. As a youth , I thought that was an odd little song . Now I kinda go along with most of it, still think “onions “ is a weird add on , guess he couldn’t find a good rhyme.
  16. I love little baby ducks, old pickup trucks Slow-movin' trains and rain I love little country streams, sleep without dreams Sunday school in May and hay And I love you, too I love leaves in the wind, pictures of my friends Birds of the world and squirrels I love coffee in a cup, little fuzzy pups Bourbon in a glass and grass And I love you, too I love honest, open smiles, kisses from a child Tomatoes on the vine and onions I love winners when they cry, losers when they cry Music when it's good and life And I love you, too.

I think you can put it on your profile page, and then I think I may have seen them listed somewhere on this site , like along the edge or something. Eye sight

It’s easy to switch eyes and frankly shoulders on long guns , even easier with handguns . i always shot righty as it was dominant eye and I m right handed , till my right eye got weak, then I switched to,left handed shooting and left eye which was non dominant. Then I had lasik , both eyes got strong and my left eye became my dominant one .... ive always shot bow right handed , I have bolt action rifles both left and right . My front closet shotgun was set up,for lefty I just switched it back to right ......
