Sad to,see. Sorry but I’m 90 miles away, other wise we’d kicked the crap outta that fire, and been eating wings after . No offense, but there’s no way they’ll be severing food there anytime me soon . Odd that they trench cut the roof.

Interesting list. Timothy Patrick’s for Monroe County , been there years ago, didn’t know it as still open ..... For an Irish bar, I’d rather go to Barry’s in Webster it’s a true old school Irish bar ,small with the husband , wife owners serving you . Myself I’d recommend the Genesee Brew House, large selection of their craft beer, great pub food ,friendly crowds, tasting room , museum / gift shop and the best view of the city and high falls to,be found . First year it opened they figured they’d get 40k through the door, they got 300k and it hasn’t stopped . We’ll be there Friday after work !

As for the Hooter shooter ,Phil used it to tune my bow prior to me showing up . I’d show up while he was still closed and he’d have me shoot, I think he moved the sights once or twice about a hair or so . I don’t know very much about tuning bows, well nothing really, I’m just know it was pretty much set for me when I arrived .

Years ago in Rochester we had an annual police vs fire bowling tournament, it raised money for the school of the Holy Childhood. Well it died out with bowling . Then a friend brought it back, I helped out running it. One thing was selling 50/50 and raffle tickets during the tournament, I figured we’d sell more if instead of Firemen selling them. I got some Hooter Girls to sell to the cops and firemen ( I’m a marketing genius) The local one sent 3 girls and they were quite the hit ! Sister Sarfine even thanked them .......

That Judge looks like a big chunky handgun to carry , how do you carry it ? Strong side osw ?

I’m a shotgun guy too, kinda . Like Pygmy, I killed a stack of deer with shotguns all smooth bore too, many on the run some at100 yards . I’ve shot 12ga since I was 12, that’s almost 47 years . I sold many of them once rifle became legal here , and I don’t miss them at all ! Kept my BPS, minus scope for drives , and kept my short barrel Benelli, for emergencies as after 47 years I’m just familiar with running one . 5 , 00 in it and a card on stock with 3 more plus 2 slugs . My average shot on deer is I’d guess under 50 yards, last year was about ten. I just love the smaller easy to carry, lighter weight and much lighter recoil of my rifles . I believe in practicing and would shoot 100 to 150 slugs each year, getting ready for deer season , and that sucked recoil wise. Love me some 7mm08 .

That can is aluminum , first one was in 1,958 but not Piels, although it was some time for the switch over .That one has a pop top , those first came out in. 1,963 with most converting to them 5 or so years later . im thinking ‘70s for your can .

Kinda but with more blocking strategies, the main advantage is that your beer can stay cold just sitting on the playing surface .

Curling is about the most watched event at work , after hockey . Once I started watching and grasping a bit of the strategy, I was somewhat hooked . Then the arguments broke out .... About 30 of the guys went to a , local curling house a couple weeks back, sadly I couldn’t make it , they all had a blast .

That sucks . Hope he heals up well .

I always said I’d like to hunt naked with a spear .Thats pure hunting . And no , naked with a bow just didn’t do it for me .....

Actually there is a device that one can site a bow in with, that removes human inconsistencies. The Hooter shooter , it’s how my bow was dialed in .
-
That was good . Thanks

One piece of advice , don’t chase your arrows, what I mean by that is, if your shots one Day are off a bit, don’t adjust sites , rests and such. Put it away and come back out the next day and see how you shoot . I’m in Rob C’s camp. 30years two bows , my “new “ one is 12 years old lol .

There is some wisdom in Zags post . I always told mine if they start something they finish . They can quit after the season or whatever . The BB player who quit went on to graduate Suma cum laude , was a TA while getting her masters and took and passed two, parts of the cpa exam at the same time , so not much of a quitter over all . quitting a hobby or sport , here and there is no big deal, if it’s part of a larger pattern then perhaps , step in. .

Let it go . Two adult daughters , a RN and a CPA at one of the big four, been through it all the sports and stuff . It all may seem a big deal at the time, but it’s nothing down the road , let them excel at life . Dont force anything , I had one who kept getting cut and would come home and cry and the other quit varsity B.B. her senior year because a few minutes on the floor wasn’t worth all the year round effort to her . Know that it’s doesn’t mean a thing down the road ,although it may seem a big deal now . im a pretty good salmon skier ,it was my passion for 40 plus years. My youngest can also salmon But the oldest never even got up on two skis , I never pushed it . Today I hunt with the oldest and ski with the youngest , just let th flow take you where it does .

Actually I’m drinking a Sip of Sunshine , that was a joke , yet it’s still full and I feel a challenge taking pace .... I’ll have to see how many full ones I’ve got ,perhaps I can spare one. Also it PBR in there ..... I have the first year Harley can as well, they were made for bike week, and sold out fast ! After that they made way more and put the year on the can, first year cans have no date .

NFA ADK, so right ! I have about a 15 acre thicket, that I’ve been turned around in ( and i feel I have a Grampy sense of direction ) I’ve come out the other side and stood there in disbelief, “ CORN??? “ there’s no corn on the west side ! My mind couldn’t process what side I was on , I’m sure I was headed west yet there’s corn here , it’s a very weird feeling .
-
Another well aged one ! Cheers .

I thought it was funny, I see that as pretty much pro crossbow, a self centered compound guy flipping out over misconceptions , and saying we don’t need more hunters and they’ll shoot all “our “deer.

Little late here ... have an LCP since the wait list was five pages long when they first came out. Knowing the shop owner helped ,got mine in two days. Anyways , changed out recoil spring to Wolff 12 lb as earlier guns sometimes had an issue with going into full battery with some loads. Highly recommend Houge Handall grip sleeve , really helps with grip and some say felt recoil . Although I never really had an issue with it . Those two along with DeSantis pocket holster , and using the mag with finger extension are pretty much how I see most LCP’s. I carry it stuffed with Ruger APX ammo. .380 HP is not known for great expansion or penetration, hardball has poor wound channels but better penetration , this ammo seems to blend the two, good wound channels and penetration. the II has better sites , and trigger safety
