    Subaru ?

Ha it's a battle with the Mrs . She keeps coming up wth other cars ..... I did my research got it down to two cars , test drove and right now 3 Subaru dealers are trying to beat each other .... We got married in '88 and I added up what I spent on cars for her since then $22,500 . So she's in sticker shock . I may have spent more on watches in that time , so go figure . I bought a Rolex off a guy in San Diego , while we were on vacation in Florida and told her after I got it . That was no,problem ......, Just got home from working 34 hours and well going out after , tomorrow after I hunt the morning I'll have a sit down with her . Hope to have car early next week . Or perhaps I'll be living in it , which would be ok !
  8. Me I shoot for a month or two . BUT , each year at work there are many new bow hunters , and they shoot good right from the get go . Case in point , I get a fill in from Engine 9 ,gun hunter who I've been to camp with before . he has a friend who shoots tournament archery , he gets him a used bow and goes through the bow for him, one night of teaching him an he's shooting golf ball sized groups at 30 yards . Ive got tons of stories of guys killing deer their first year out with little practice . Oh a bunch of guys onthe job shoot in a league , the fireman who won it last year never shot a bow before and started the league using a borrowed bow .
  9. Thanks ! Hope to,have the Buick sagging by 8:00AM or so . Gus still smells last years ....

  11. Ok I plan on texting all,you guys in a couple days ! Thanks . Ive helped track before and would again . Sometimes a little friend with long ears and a sloping nose comes along ... Live in 8f hunt 8H
  12. Moog gave me some milkweed, I've watched it float up and down as well as turn 90 degrees as its sailed off . It's amazing how far you can watch it at times . Ya you can toss some grass or tie a string to your bow or a squeeze bottle of powder, but that shows what's happening with in a couple feet, I've watched milkweed go 75 yards or so at times . Give it a try !
  13. Im going to be in that big ladder you used. Bring coffee ! Sitting there out of lazyness mostly , easy to get to and in . Still have to clear paths to a couple stands I have big hopes for
  14. Ha my one wood blind as also 4x8. Ill Ill Take some pics Sunday . Yes it's a smart move, as you know I make my living off folks who think it'll never happen to them . You should hear the talks I have with my kids landlords when they move in ....
  15. Well im all set , just moved clothes from floor to tote , could not find tags for a long time .... Binos were in a weird spot , headlamp I finally found . Replaced a couple BH. Have no idea what time first light is , and have to find that Dylan cd for ride down .
  16. Thanks , right back at ya !
  17. Over all not a bad idea , but I'd think few blinds are built that tight . You'd need a couple hundred PPM for hours . But in that small an area , it's really a good move .
  18. What I wouldn't give to have Phil and Indian MTN open again !!!!
  19. That sucks , I hunt pretty close to,them but only stopped by once . Bunch of guys at work shoot in a league there though . Good luck …
  20. Hunting the morning 45 degrees or so, possible clam bake in the afternoon . Although your plan is a good one too .
  21. Much more then most years . Gave some to a trainer at the gym, who wanted to add wild game to his diet .
  22. Great day on the big Lake ! Water is warmer then our pool was in August , good swimming today .
  23. Good read , I'm getting my daughter a Savage 7mm 08 compact , was wondering about ammo . She uses a youth 870 in 20 ga, problem is the youth model is so,light it kicks like a full sized 12 ga would . Plus she wants a scope so I figure just switch her up to a rifle , the less recoil the better .
