  1. Just by the title of this (for those not in the know, I can see thread titles but not the written word of the post) thread it confirms my correct decision to but the OP on Ignore.
  2. Yes, baitcaster at a earlier age. Lately it's been the cane pole.........dumped the safety pin and opted for the gold headed jig after fishing with Pygmy.
  3. My 7 day trial lasted well over a year. Just saying......... (but I did buy in this past May for $29)
  4. I can pitch a redworm on a gold jig into a tea cup at 25 yards in a stiff southwest wind, while holding an egg sandwich..... Don't even THINK of asking me to prove it though.
  5. I haven't seen damage from red squirrels nut have seen the handy work of grays inside a building......I'd be afraid, VERY afraid to see the results. Good luck FL.
  6. Hope you guys had a great day and an even better night planned! Happy Birthday.....
  7. I wish I didn't have to do it by hand but this chore dictated it. A friend is under the weather and I wanted to help out when I could. He's been ill for about 18 months and I know it pains him that his place isn't up to snuff like he'd like it. My wife accompanied me down to his place last weekend and did a pile of leaf racking and weed whacking. I could see that one ditch in particular was teaming with last years wet muddy leaves and knew it needed attention, PDQ. Well this past week they received 2.75" of rain and I felt I better get my butt in gear and see what I could do. I headed down Saturday morning and saw that the ditch had run over its banks and flooded down into the yard. I had brought along all the rakes and tarps to get r done, I thought. Turns out the leaves were incredibly matted down with mud, silt and water and very heavy. I got them up on the bank then went and borrowed a pitch fork and wheelbarrow. That filled up the better part of 3+ hours and just about killed me.........dumped the leaves and muck back in the woods for the critters to rummage through. (night crawlers up the grommet) When I needed a break from that fun I climbed up onto the roof and broom cleaned it then cleaned the gutters, all of which were filled with pine needles. Finished off the day with 30 minutes of additional weed whacking to help dry out areas that were too wet to mow a couple weeks before. I love the work and finished product but more importantly I know it really makes my friend happy to see things getting done. The main ditch before: After the raking but before hauling away: Further to the south of the same ditch: The roof, after the fact: And tonight (stock photo) after a long day bike riding and monkeying around with the wife, my reward: I hope like heck you guys (and gals) had as great of a weekend as I did!
  8. You just wait........you'll cork a dandy this fall then as you're standing there admiring the beast in the snow, you mutter under your breath "damn that Lawdwaz".
  9. Left over spaghetti and a salad. No "before" pics, I'll get some "after" pics if worthy.
  10. I don't know your experience with trucks, tractors, 'wheelers etc but I'll say this: At the very least you learned a valuable lesson early in the game. Going forward, you have to really access the situation and decide if it's worth the risk of getting a rig stuck. You'll be reading sign and thinking about it before you "send it". LOL That said, I LOVE mud. Zero work with tractors but trucks and 'wheelers I'm well versed in "Oh SH&T we are buried!" but the older I get the smarter I get. Usually.... Good luck Goose and have FUN!!
  11. Just tires, not rims and IIRC you & me both have 16" wheels so no dice........
  12. Looks great Rob......is there room for another buck this year??
  13. I put re-spooled a reel last night and just might make some casts in a farm pond later for R&D.... Have to clean some leaves from a ditch and pine needles from some gutters at a friends camp.
  14. Dragging the boat down I assume? Should be a nice day for fishing....now that the shed is done, I hope.
  15. Looks nice JZ......the Dawg is going to be thrilled!
  16. Capt shawnu; good to see you back in the fray if only to peddle some vessels. Without scanning your Craigslist ads, do these boats come with oars? If not (or if so) what kind do you use or recommend if you have a favorite? A friend has a 12' Sylvan he needs oars for. TIA
  17. The back up camera sure makes lining up the trailer to the ball childs play with my Tacoma.
