I saw Andrew at his work today and he clued me in on the pending hunt tonight.......You guys better be on the lookout for each other. As the old saying goes "it's a small world" couldn't be truer!! Hunting the same blocks is a distinct possibility!! I hope the fur flies on them "dogggs". Good luck guys!!

I have a friend that is interested in a small semi auto in .380 I have a couple KelTec P32 pistols and they have been fine for me. The Ruger's sure seem to get lots of press, the price I saw at Cabela's tonight was $299.......what say you?

RIP Lexi........ Sorry for your loss Greg, remember the fun you had with Lexi and not the tough time you've just been through.

Hey man, good for you! I've pretty much quit smoking cigars after 40 years. Not daily but very often.......... In late July for no particular reason (other than the most obvious) I just had had enough. Since then two times I've had a cigar and didn't really enjoy them. I guess I'm done??? Here's to you crappyice!

Yesterday I had a few trees to clean up that fell on a seasonal driveway where I hunt. The biggest tree was a red oak but when it came down it took a few dying ash with it. I had been down to there the past two weekends and the deer had really been going to town on the oak top. The entire root structure came up when she fell so it was all still nice and "green". The deer were probably disappointed when I fired up the saw to clean things up but the limbs are still there, just not on the driveway.

Nice, I’ve been thinking it was the 1/10-1/18.........good thing I have deer nailed down via the Late Great Charlie Alsheimer. RIP Charlie Remember; it’s about the journey, not the reward. (Something like that) -
This is close.......(very) http://www.cookingnook.com/recipe/beef-stew-recipe/

I have a great recipe but I can't get my hands on it right now. IIRC it is called "oven stew". Really good stuff! No precooking or browning the meat; it all goes into a roasting pan and then into the oven......

Even leftovers are good. Today’s lunch!!

The wife and I drove away from the house tonight and jumped on the 90, going west. We hadn't a clue where we would be eating dinner then all of a sudden it hit me............Polish Villa II on Harlem! We hadn't been there in almost 20 years and figured we were due. Let me tell you, the Polish Platter will knock your socks off! A salad, sweet & sour cabbage, potato pancake, two pierogie (both farmers cheese) fresh & smoked sausage, galumpkis. And a couple Molson. I've been to the Polish Villa I also but it's been many years for that place also. What a refreshing change from the usual predictable "going out" meal.

A double dose of birthdays . Tughill Tamer and Steuben Jerry
Lawdwaz replied to turkeyfeathers's topic in General Chit Chat
Birthday greetings fellas. Enjoy!!! -
I lost a Kershaw DWO folder around 1985 or '86 in a gut pile and I should have gone back with a MD. (nice little 5pt.) Man I made a great shot on him! Tinks69 stopped him in his tracks and a Razorbak5 shut him down, in sight. Sorry for the derail......
