I had a couple of Fred's Bighorn Bows. Both were takedown models, a 64" and a 60"............wonderful bows! Also had a Robertson, Kohanna and a couple/three Great Northern bows when Rick & Jerry were together.
We used to hit all the traditional get togethers back in the late 80's and 90's. Michigan Longbow festival, NYB, Denton Hill etc..........
Great times!
How old is your bow and have you ever had the strings/cables replaced prior to the detonation??
I had one blow about 5 years ago. I was shooting in my basement when a cable let go.....at full draw no less Something slapped my arm super bad and it hurt like a sumbiotch. I dropped the bow, limbs and hunk of strings on the floor as I thought I was injured. I wasn't but it scared the bi-jesus out of me. I had a top shelf guy re-string the mess and all was well. I sold the bow the following year as I was spooked by the thing. Puzzy I know...............
Well.....the much anticipated sample was hand delivered today. My review follows:
FREAKING GREAT! Very tasty and just a touch tough. I've had MUCH tougher cuts of meat, really no big deal.........It'd be dynamite on a hard roll with a little Dijon mustard, lettuce & tomato.......and beer.
WTH......A hen wood duck just marched a brood of youngsters across the street from me on my neighbors lawn. Blows my mind!! They headed to the backyard.............
There's a black outdoor cat that hangs out in the general area. If the cat finds them they'll be goners...........there's also no ponds anywhere close to here either. Going to be a rough night.
5 days?
I'd be burning cigars, fishing, maybe mow the lawn, do laundry, fish some more, be in the sack at 9pm, work a bit then a little more fishing.
Toss in a beer or two.................Good Times!
