  1. Yes, both of the incidents had good (considering) endings. The deal at LaGuardia is one of those mind blowers.........I mean holy horseballs THAT was close. It does seem like poor planning to build a airport right next to a river/lake/ocean/crick/pond etc.
  2. Pretty bleak numbers Red.........not good. You just reminded me of something, last week Thursday I was going east on 90 between Buffalo & Rochester and saw a coyote that had been hit by a car. It looked to be a big one too and NOT plastered all over the place.
  3. I've dreaded this finally coming out....................she is toast now.
  4. Although I've seen many of them they are all fantastic!
  5. The stick on heaters are fine when you are sitting but horrid when you walk, especially if you have foot issues. They are the real deal IMO and can really make your LONG day 14' in the air very comfortable.
  6. Heck with that, give her a free membership. I even have some nice HuntingNY stickers I'd send her.
  7. His/her brain must have been big enough to compute the signal to HANG ON!!
  8. The weasel may have been comfortable but I bet it was a OH CRAP!! moment in your typical weasel's day.
  9. You summarized her actions in a much more civilized way than I did.............................well done.
  10. Ahhhh, my daily dose of Fruit Loops is satisfied. Miss Kehoe (gotta be a Miss because NO guy would be smart enough to marry that Freak Show) is definitely setting herself up for an untimely but well deserved mauling OR death. The headlines will read "___________________________________" (you fill in the quotes)
  11. I like it and hope it isn't proven to be a phony.
  12. I just saw this one wooly........they were very impressed with our wings over here, damned well be have been. I asked my daughter if she wanted pizza for dinner tonight......she said NO WAY, too much over there!
  13. MY daughter just got home tonight from her end of this trip! She spent the last three nights with her fellow classmates in Paris, France. This morning they boarded a plane from Charles de Gaulle airport and were in the air for a little over 8 hrs en-route to the Toronto airport. Then they took a shuttle bus back home. It was a long 2.5 weeks for us but with the phone app called "Whatsapp" and a little "FaceTime" we could keep in touch pretty good. The 6 hour time difference was a problem of course..... They were all over; Rome, Milan, Venice, Innsbruck, Paris and all points in between. She took over 1000 pics with her Iphone....hopefully she weeds out some (MOST) of the lousy ones and prints only the best blue ribbon pics. Funny thing, when all the kids piled off the shuttle bus they fell into their parents arms and lots of hugs and kisses flew. All the kids then congregated at the back of the shuttle to grab their suitcases. Each kid or their parents grabbed the appropriate luggage and then walked off to their cars, no goodbyes at all. I thought that was strange and I said to my daughter. "what gives with that, nobody said goodbye" She said, "ahh, we're all kind of tired of each other"!! She said all was good but they just needed some time apart now! They all are expected to be in school tomorrow morning of course, soon enough to see their buds.
  14. I busted and removed about 4" of ice over probably 500 sqft today off my driveway. I think I'm going to be toast tomorrow....
  15. You really do suck.....................
  16. G-man might not laugh but I just busted a gut............................................................... Glad you made it out alive, I'm kind of surprised that goat didn't take a bullet to the noggin though??
  17. Anybody else interested in sending some help their way this is the ad I'm referring to: http://nydovehunting.weebly.com/help-fund-advertising-for-ny-dove-hunting.html
  18. I got that link figured out.........this is the one that says (for me anyway) "sorry, something went wrong": https://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fnydovehunting.weebly.com%2Fcontact.html&h=dAQEqG7oZ&enc=AZPI30YYKVdLiDt7eMGTXIjJFCg3gwO14QwvJRDe1dHouz9kEUrOJ2zuGpep-O0wgLjY_kKwbNNvsssmXUdy6SPGq4u--yEtWdO1MRKkgQnEtfGmEI_LRp_A6J-shQM5ZLGssTP52mQAuX9KcKeUKnxcRrdcqQywXfCwWqjuCwFWvA&s=1
  19. When that link gets fixed let me know, I'd like to send a donation for the placement of the ad in the syllabus.
  20. In 24 years living in this house I bet I haven't spread salt or salt substitute three or four times. This morning was unreal how slippery it was! I had to "borrow" some from a friend........................all better now!
  21. Or you can send your Leupold scope back to Leupold and have an M1 elevation turret added for $75.00 Then get a quality rangefinder............
  22. I stand corrected. Anybody own one of them? (or any caliber specific scope?) Some guys are shooting 40gr bullets while others are shooting 75gr's, what about velocity differences and all the many other factors in getting it calibrated?
  23. Yes but you'd have to get it set up for one grain weight bullet I believe and what fun would that be?
