I checked three cameras yesteday, all three were low on buck pics. I let the them soak two weeks and to come up basically empty is odd. Plenty of doe & fawn, coyote, fox, skunk, coon, squirrel etc. but only a couple little bucks. No reason (gulp) to panic yet. Some logging very close to one set could be effecting that spot, a serious lack of apples is killing another setup. The last spot, I can't formulate a reason for the lack-o-bucks. No biggie, I'll probably crack a hog anyway. <grin>

365 pics of some coons wouldn't please me. How long were they around, 2 days? And D batteries, do many cameras run those? They can get expensive!! My two cams take AA's (8 each) but they seem to last quite a while.

No problem with that. I saw approx 23 deer in a field in Arcade Wednesday evening, 7 antlered bucks and the balance doe & fawn. Not 1.5 miles down the road I saw another flock-o-deer, darn near the same ratio buck/doe. Pretty darn cool. (wishin fer permission!)

Had a Dr appt yesterday. Her words....."oh my, you have an abdominal hernia, I will refer you to a surgeon AND a GI for your chronic heartburn". My words (under my breath) "phuck me" (sorry mods, dock me a point) We'll just have to see how bad this hernia is. No pain, just a HUGE bulge between my belly button and bottom of rib cage when I lay down. I don't really believe it, YET! Hey Doc, c u in Jan. <grin>

Try it, it should be a hoot!! My local p/u now is with the big plastic totes. THAT works great for getting rid of the evidence, opps I'm mean parts. The rib cage is a mini dumpster! I stuff all the leg bones and trimmings in it then bag that all by itself. It can be quite a heavy load in itself The nut sack is mistletoe, typically. The hide I TRY and save for a trapper that sells them or I donate to a butcher I know. Hate to waste them.

I had a bloody leg poke out of a contractor bag one time when the garbage men went to toss it into the truck. These two guys (black) freaked out!! They called the Amherst Police woh called the Town Highway Dept. The garbage guys thought I whacked my wife up................!!! The town took it all and told me if the EVER gave me a hard time again, give them a call and they would take care of it. Pretty cool on their part, IMO. Funny stuff I guess when the guys first saw the bone. They were screaming!!

I watched a pro trying to get a mom and the babies once and saw, with my own eyes little ones walking across the trigger in a Havaheart trap and not tripping it! The pro (a lady) snuck in with a pole and hit the trigger and caught the little buggers and took them to the gas chamber.

I have seen & smelled dead skunks on the roads lately, tons of them. Must be the young ones getting kicked out? Also had a couple calls to clean up the stink in the house also. I don't get too involved in those anymore in my business. They can get pretty expensive.

Most of the "proper" skunk traps are real short in height so the skunk can't (or isn't supposed to) spray by raising its tail. I bet if Dan set that conibear trap out the first think that would show up would be that darn skunk! Whew.....

It is ONLY a jackpot for your two guns. If anybody wanted to try that "load" they should only obviously work up to it SLOWLY......... Glad it shot well for you guys. Any big plans for those guns this year or all local stuff?
