  1. Looks great!! Now some questions: Do you have a sump pump? Do you have a back up? Do you have a limit on your homeowners insurance, like $5000? 6" of water down there would sure put a hurtin' on the structure and really screw up the party. <<grin>>
  2. I meant "good deal" as in I'm happy for you. I wasn't questioning the deal.............
  3. Thanks guys. It has been a very busy couple months and especially busy week and a half. I hit the rack at 9:50 last night and was completely out of it until the phone rang at 10:10. Oh honey, its your aunt from California (who I haven't talked to in 15 years) calling. She says "I've been thinking of you all day and just wanted to wish you a happy birthday" Crap, she could have called at 7:00 MY time! Probably had to work up to it all day...... THEN, finally fall asleep and then the GDMF smoke detector battery runs out of juice at 11:30.....beep......beep.......beep........beep........beeeeeeeep.......................Noooooooooo Waaaaaaay!! Great nights sleep well under way and all is lost. Oh well, I love rainy morning "luck". wink, wink.
  4. I could see that thing cartwheelin' over MY head if I pulled the pin.....................357Mag? No thanks!!
  5. I don't know what that thing is but I'll assume its a good thing. Thanks!!
  6. When I've had my camera in the video mode, they have breathed on the lens and fogged it up while recording! Great pic, BTW.
  7. The first two cylinders out of that beast will also be the last. No fun to shoot and too heavy to carry. Biz R OWorld........What other handguns do you have?
  8. So your buddies is an older model than you thought. Both those are nice guns of a great vintage.
  9. Wouldn't even come CLOSE to a western states elk hunt. I've been appling since the inception, maybe 10 years by now?? So, the way I get it is my name goes into the "hat" 10 times this year. A guy applying this year for the first time gets 1 shot at it. A guy who has applied 3 years gets 3 pokes at it. I'm still NOT liking my odds. <<grin>>
  10. All this love for a 110 makes me want to put mine on the auction block. Let me think of a good charity for a donation................
  11. Just saw this question.......the maker is Gene Wiseman. Here is a link to some info. on them: http://www.24hourcam...opics/5110169/1
  12. Penora's Pizza is the one that got blasted buy the car after it killed that girl a couple weeks ago. Sad deal.
  13. That is some kind of buck! WOW.............
  14. HOLY G1 Batman!! What a tree wrecker he'll be.
  15. I never had any real trouble, just normal "out of breath" stuff. One year we camped at 11,700' in Colorado on a DIY elk hunt. Hell, I was out of breath just pullin' my zipper back up the first couple days! I got used to it pretty good and each day we would hunt down below camp, not too far and it wasn't much of problem. Hunted a bunch of other times in the 7,000'-9,000' range and all went well. Kind of like sea sickness, some people get it, some don't. My one and only (NOT) B&C bull elk, shot at less than 5,000' in elevation.............
  16. And I meant WHAT? I can't hear you because of that damned muzzle blast just blew my remaining hearing out!
  17. You'll get more satisfaction out of higher end binos due to the fact that they can be used year round and anywhere. Try and use your Weatherby rifle at Niagara Falls! A lower end bino will put a strain on your eyes and a drain on your wallet after you replace them a few times trying to upgrade to a quality unit. You can snag a used pair of Swarovski, Leica or Zeiss binos for $750 quite often. I'm very confident you'd be best served with a pair of 8x30 or 8x32 over any 10x bino. (just my opinion of course and I rarely offer one) 10x is going to be heavier, tougher to hold still and not as big a field of view for the hometown woods. 8x will be just fine out West. (same deal, my opinion only) TONS of satisfaction from great binos.
  18. Oh boy. Read it again, real slow. I'm glad all I carry is a money clip...................
  19. Yes, very ironic. So very strange.......... The fact that they went back to the original plan just boggles my mind! I picked up the new 25-06 today. It looks to be never fired and was in the original box. More choices for November of 2013!! You may as well get yourself a rifle NOW. Maybe you could hook up with Pygmy this fall down in rifle country!!
