  1. I picked up the Minus 33 last year, full zip front top and medium (?) weight bottom. Great stuff @ a decent price.
  2. Hey Joe- I was only trying to help Doc from spending his money on a rag like OL.
  3. White hanky in the back pocket of the Carhartts...........
  4. I have subscribed to the Conservationist off and on for years. It is what it is...... NY Outdoor news is pretty darn good. Where else are you going to get good updates on state and local issues every two weeks? Money well spent IMO. If a guy was looking for some good and reasonably reading, the Pennsylvania Game News is highly recommended. (and no advertising crapola) ;D
  5. I keep forgetting to go out town and pick up a copy. I might go out for supper tonite and stop in to get one. Thanks for reminding me. Available on line??
  6. I'd shy away from brown pants...............
  7. "Pro Staff" I love that term. Hang on while I spray down with some sent eliminator...................
  8. Early 1980's vintage T/C Hawken 50 caliber percussion ML kit. Unfinished! These are the ultimate kit form rifles. Who knows, if NY opens an early ML season for traditional guns, this would be the one!! $375 shipped or $345 FTF if doable.
  9. Fairgame........ I'm not too worried about breaking any laws because AR aren't coming. Don't be fooled by trail camera pictures. Every year you see plenty of big old bucks on cameras then come hunting season they get pretty scarce. Not like the tv shows around here. If YOU want to hold out for a big buck, have at it. The entire state holds great bucks, you just need to pass the little guys before you pull the trigger.
  10. I'll use a touch of Hoppes #9 and a cleaning patch if I deem it necessary.
  11. Case heads don't matter, bullet placement does. About 12 years ago I killed a buck in PA with my Sako 375 H&H. Perfect bullet placement..........!
  12. I don't anywhere near 180" AR are great in PA. They can keep them. How many big bucks do you want to put on the wall? I like to hunt, kill, butcher and eat. Don't try and tell anybody that's paying for a hunting license that they can't shoot any buck they want.
  13. I use a Leica CRF 900 and have had no problems with it. Works great from about 10 yards to 900+ Nice and small.
  14. Any light weight rubber boots are fine. Lacrosse, Muck, Ranger or any other high boot will work. I like them high enough to tuck my pants in when walking in & out. Don't get sucked into need for camo boots. Foolishness. I bet more than a few deer are killed in sneakers each year.
  15. I think one of the MAJOR sponsor of these shows is the POD. Shoot a deer in the guts, brisket or leg and they recover it no problem. Maybe some of the younger guys on here never heard of the POD? Really some terrible shows on TV.
  16. Election week is when I hit it the hardest.
