  1. I don’t mind some add but when each time i pop over to the site i have to click on an arrow to move it out of my view that kind of advertising has gone to far imo. Mods maybe you can pass this along to the owner of the site, im sure he doesn’t give a shit about our opinions but ya never know.
  2. Yep. I also have an annoying pop up add on the top of the page all the time now.
  3. Not sure if you saw any of my updates. Besides the birds it’s growing well for the little amount of fertilizer I put down.
  4. I think its a fantastic idea Bob! Like I said before its just not the right timing for me. GL
  5. Well its almost go time. Son had been loosing his mind he’s so damn excited for deer season. He’s been shooting his bow a ton and next week I’m gonna take his hoyt in to up the poundage a bit. Today he shot the tikka 7mm-08 we picked up from @moog5050. I picked up a couple boxes of Hornaday 120gr custom lites and the recoil is so minimal and is exactly what I was looking for. So thanks to all you guys that have mentioned this caliber on other threads for a great youth gun. Watch out come Columbus day weekend!! We have a few things left to do with a couple stands down at the land and this week will be putting together 2 more ladder stands for our backyard and getting them hung!
  6. I used outdoor limited for .45 ammo and it was fast and easy shipped quickly to my door. I bought 7mm-08 off gunbroker and it was super fast and easy and again directly to my door! Both purchases were over the last 2 months.
  7. I wear the pants in this family (not to say you dont) :-) so I am in charge of any lists and if it doesn’t involve hunting right now it ain’t happening!!
  8. Well here’s so more pics from today. We finally got some rain Tuesday, not enough but it helped. My biggest challenge with these new plots are the birds. I have been adding seed for all the bare spots. I’ve been doing plots along time and I believe the problem is my home borders a farm and since cutting ground I have pigeons from the barns now perched on my roof every darn day but the crows have been relentless. I guess I gave these farm birds exactly what they wanted. The beet looking spot I seeded once, its tucked in the corner of the field and woods ands its growing well. The other 3 spots are wide open. I also only spread 1 bag of fertilizer so not much.
  9. Will do!! Time for the boys to draw blood!! My kid is bouncing off the wall he cant wait!
  10. Btw: Flag pole is freaking amazing!!
  11. Its gonna be a fun season with the kids!! Gl my man!!
  12. Glad this threads still getting mileage!!
  13. Im with you, I quit smoking a couple yrs ago and I thought id see a remarkable difference in my ability to be much closer to sent free than smoking in the stand but in all honesty I didn’t notice a bit of difference. They still freaking winded me like nothing.
  14. Yeah its been insane at our house as well. They will freaking carry you away.
  15. Couple pics!! One spot is growing fantastic, 2 sections I ended up redoing as the birds were destroying the seed. Apparently having the only freshly tilled ground was a hit for the birds. Still have had next to zero rain since I planted.
  16. Didn’t he get all worked up and leave? I’ll never forget maybe it was last hunting season, he keep posting on his thread how he and his boys were hardly seeing deer day after day, after day. This went on most of the season and finally I commented, maybe you need to look for another spot Eddie, he replied that they had already taken a ton of deer. His entire thread didn’t mention any harvest all season. Seemed pretty sneaky to me. Happy birthday non the less
  17. Ogunquit, we were visiting Boston and drove up for the afternoon and dinner.
  18. If you want my sloppy seconds go for it!!
  19. Maybe you have seen some of my post on the food plot we created, gosh this is yr 3 now. Anyways this plot is tucked away on our 90 acres. I’d like a camera at each end of the plot. Is setting up 2 much easier than a larger network, or is there a easier basic option with another brand. Now that my son (13) can gun hunt Columbus day weekend I would really like to get something setup relatively soon and leave that section of the property undisturbed until then but also be able to monitor the usage, patterns and caliber of bucks right from my phone!! Thanks phade
  20. Was In Maine yesterday afternoon for a beach/seafood visit.
  21. Shade but no breeze. Not sure I have ever sweated so much! It was definitely a cool experience. Bostons pretty darn cool I must say.
  22. It was as hotter than a mo fo and the seats were tiny!
