  1. i needed some tissues after seeing ther vertix. Everything I like about the triax, but a longer ata which was my only complaint. I probably wont use the modular poundage adjustment, but the idea is neat.
  2. i don't age and I cook my venison like pictured. My whole family, including my non-deer hunting raised wife loves it.
  3. my old reversible walls stuff. Great warm gear just old tech that doesn't stay dry.
  4. yep that's the stuff. I have the gloves by the same manufacturer. After one sit I knew they were useless haha. I now use them when snowblowing.
  5. Think I found my first purchase Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I know the stuff you're wearing there. It is very noisy indeed and that's why I never bought it. Seemed cheap and maybe not very protective/insulating too. I have some old walls that were cotton. Great warmth and noise, but horrible with even a drop of moisture.
  7. I use snow camo mostly because I'm a gear junky. I'd recommend any budget conscious person to just buy one of those cheap covers that go over your good cold gear. It doesn't protect at all, but will change your appearance. because i'm a gear junky though, I bought this over the spring and I'm excited to try it out. I have the gloves, bibs and jacket. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/939114567/midwayusa-mens-hunters-creek-parka edit to say that i do think there is a benefit to tresstand hunters too. The white colors help your silhouette with the sky.
  8. I'm not sure this is right. And i'm not positive, but my understanding is that game wardens generally have better access to private property without the need for a search warrant like a police officer might.
  9. That would be most guys best 6 point. Wow! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Forgive me hunters for I have sinned. This afternoon on my way to hunt I needed an energy boost after a long day at the office. I grabbed an apple and ate it on the hike in. I left the core on my approach trail and now in the stand I question the ethics of my decision and my own morals and virtues that I live by. Please forgive me and accept this confession. 11. Post your deals here so the rest of us can run up our credit card bills with more stuff we don't really need
  12. probably not. i'd not forget my grunt tube you can do a soft mouth grunt too.
  13. Going out for last bow sit this afternoon and I'm a little bummed I didn't wash my snow camo yet. Bought some new stuff on clearance last year and I'll be out there in my realtree. yes, these are the important things for me.
  14. Bob I'm amazed that you continue to hunt these conditions. True dedication brother.
  15. I have that model. It is indeed a solid no frills machine and the price makes it very attractive. But I'll stress to anyone who wants a long term, time saver to get one with the built in bag cutter. Unless you're using the more expensive premade bags it's well worth the extra $40 or so. I bought a nicer one last year and only regret not buying it the first time around. Foodsaver's website tends to offer the best deals and if you sign up for their emails you'll see some good bogo roll deals too.
  16. When someone asks you why you deer hunt. this. this right here.
  17. compared to the the kind of hunting you seemed to be having, I would say welcome to actual deer hunting. haha.
  18. awesome. i think mythbusters disproved that shooting a propane tank would cause the hollywood/videogame explosion.
  19. another thing not to brush off is the effects of water in a winter/hunting cabin. You'll need a setup that doesn't cause a mess and a headache when you show up. So if you get fancy just consider a way to keep your water and even waste lines clear.
