My UTV upgrades, damage prevention, safety.
Five Seasons replied to Bionic's topic in ATV's , UTV's, Dirtbikes & Snowmobiles
As some of you know I bought ATVs for my 3 boys this past Christmas. We were riding Sunday when it was warm, but very windy and had a widow maker fall between 2 of my boys as they were stuck in a bog. Also had to adjust the throttle (governor) on my youngest's quad and I realized there were 2 important items missing from my UTV. Yes they all come with basic tool kits, but having a decent tool kit for all situation is better. Also, not just a first aid kit but a trauma kit with tourniquet is on order too. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08FFNJD5G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CKFT3XT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B015RY2EDE?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0719PGJ2B?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details -
NYS gettin' in the bud business . . .
Five Seasons replied to Enigma's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I know it's generally simple, I've done it (outdoors, not indoors). But when you start to just look for tips and tricks it's amazing the different perspectives and processes are out there, it becomes overwhelming. -
NYS gettin' in the bud business . . .
Five Seasons replied to Enigma's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
my plan is to grow my own, but damn when I even dip my toe in the research part of that world it seems far more complicated than I ever imagined. I have a green thumb and sure I'll work towards higher yields but it just seems way more complicated than it needs to be to just get into it. -
it's possible that they had to spend an assload on the electrical and depending on if that meant a panel upgrade or something. Some people think you just plug these things into a 110 in your garage.

100% agree

I think there's a big difference between an electric car and truck. What would it take for you to switch to an all electric truck? https://www.chevrolet.com/electric/silverado-ev https://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/f150-lightning/2022/ https://www.tesla.com/cybertruck https://www.toyota.com/electrified/

I have no desire for a roof or windshield. I feel like at that point i'm just in a small truck. I don't want to lose that outdoor feeling even if I'm a little more wet or a little more cold. -
I remember when 5 or 6 years ago this was a sure thing, and then every season after that. Speaking of non-active members. Whatever happened to the guy who came on here from NYCC all the time looking for donations and letters to the state?

American Freedom Convoy....
Five Seasons replied to ApexerER's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Private employers will always be able to require whatever the hell they want. The feds cannot change that, so the protest doesn't matter. Do you not think healthcare workers are what these guys are so upset about? Do you think it makes sense to just completely abolish all healthcare restrictions? -

until you're late for work or emergency vehicles can't get through right? -

we're not arguing over that. Sure I can get a permit to hold a protest in the town square because I want to argue the sky isn't blue. On that we agree. What I'm saying is that this protest doesn't make any sense as I'm not sure what they're protesting and probably nobody else will either. Their protest is hurting the overall issue we had months ago, similar to how lighting buildings on fire hurt BLM. -

dude. what's the change they want? -
American Freedom Convoy....
Five Seasons replied to ApexerER's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
I don't either, but lets parallel this with BLM. That movement had support, people really felt strongly about it and so socially it was backed by many as they felt it would lead to change. Change they felt was needed. Now we can all discuss for days about how some cities handled it and when peaceful turned to looting and rioting, but that's a separate issue. With these truckers, you may have a bunch of people disrupting traffic and causing issues for issues that are no longer issues. So you're mad about something that happened and you want... you want what? This isn't the same as it is/was in Canada. They had backing because they were protesting current regulations. This group will have little to no public support because it doesn't make sense. -

but their grievances are mostly repealed at this point. They should have done this months or even a year ago. -

like i said earlier, Nancy ripping up the speech was worse. No side is free from guilt on this topic. -

other than masks on a plane there really isn't anything mandate related to protest against anymore. I know there are issues here and there, but generally life is back to normal, even in NY. -

Jesus man. Do you have kids? You don't have to agree with someone's policies or decision to be a decent human being. -
in the eye of the beholder Larry. Remember this man has some of the fanciest 2 story blinds available for harvesting your local bb.

Heckling the President
Five Seasons replied to Northcountryman's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
When she heckled him, he wasn't lying about anything. He was actually talking about improving our VA benefits, which has bipartisan support. We all know that every politician on both sides will bring in war hero's and citizens to help their speeches, and him talking about better care for our vets and why it has a special place to him is not lying and is a horrible time to heckel. I agree with many that his exit from Afghanistan was horribly executed and cost lives, but this was very, very disrespectful and low-class. -

no. but he did say Iranian which is probably worse. Obviously a typical Biden gaffe, but not well timed.
