Lookie what followed me home from the store today...a lightly used Stoeger Condor 20 gage o/u. I can't wait to bust a bird upside the head with it.
-
Next year you can come to my house and help me unpackage and put stuff together so it brings back memories..haha Why do they tie everything into the packaging like its going to escape?

I put up 5 at our mountain in Schoharie, that was with me covering a few miles and I was deer hunting that day. So far I haven't found any with the dogs but I haven't made it back to the mountain yet, deffinitely not like it was say 15 years ago.

Its too bad Oprah is off the air, you guys would make a great one hour special.
-
Well then the only solution is to bring the squirrels up on charges for littering. I though I had it bad, my neighbor doesn't like to rake his leaves.

Unless you are hinging trees at the club, it is illegal. It doesn't matter if you don't think its wrong, the law does.
-
I have an answer for you, just go talk to your neighbor about it.

I like the idea of searching with the aide of a dog, seems like it would be fun.

Compounds are also alot louder, thus creating a higher chance for a deer to jump the string. I understand your logic but I feel it is flawed. Speed doesn't matter much to any one but the hunter who thinks it helps.

We should know for sure on 9/30 of next year.

I have a couple of Robin hoods under my belt, they would be far better if it were some one elses arrows, lol Carbon arrows Robinhood fairly easily so watch out once you get shooting better. I'm glad the sight is working for you.

Bird hunt, train dogs, bird hunt, bird hunt..did I mention bird hunt? I don't have alot of down time, dog training is an all year thing but my club starts up in March, testing in June, more training and testing in September. In between all of that is life, camping, kids ect.. I am happy I have no tree stands to take down, I guess that is a upside to not ever hanging one this year..lol

Today we are making southwest egg rolls, mini pizzas, fried mushrooms, breaded mozzarella triangles, cookies, egg nog and more..going out with a proper grand finale.

Never mind I found it, if the kid was a junior hunter he was required to wear BO.. Both the Junior Hunter and mentor must remain on the ground while hunting; you may not use a tree stand or hunt from an elevated platform. Both the Junior Hunter and mentor must wear hunter orange visible from all directions: shirt, jacket or vest with at least 250 square inches of solid or patterned orange (the pattern must be at least 50% orange) OR a hat with at least 50% orange
-
Aren't younger kids required to wear BO the first couple of years or something like that?
-
I guess I would call it average to slightly above average based on sightings. That would be spread over 4S, 5T, 4R, and 5S, ended at @70 deer seen for the year. It was 49 at the end of bow season and stayed that way until the Sunday of ML. Almost all of the sightings were in 4S.

I was refering to some of the seemingly double talk, not the DEC's, the hunters. Apparently we want it all, freedom to choose what to shoot, big bucks, ect..
-
Is that crap still going on? Don't them sudo hippies have jobs and life's to attend to?
-
I have to tie my head up so it don't hit the desk when I attempt to read some of the long winded post's here some days.
-
Sure it sounds positive, if you ignore the negative parts..haha
-
I hunt with bow, shotgun, ml, rifle, on the right day any of them are easy to kill with, on the rest of the days its a challenge. That is whats called reality.
-
That is stange, did you read anything about those that eat chipmunks and make up tall tales? I heard the stripes on the pelt is what does it, there is a chemical in there that makes you nutty if you eat one.
-
I aint no expert but, some characters sure do show signs of social disease on here..lol
-
I think it has alot to do with education and field knowledge honestly, I see alot of hunters that can't tell the difference between a 1.5 and so on. Its not rocket science, just deer hunting. Did you read the home work I gave you yet? Pages 42-47 discuss all of this in great detail, agree with it or not, the info the DEC provided seems logical, well thought out and accurate.

Wrong answer, the buck take goes down but never goes back to what it was, it is currently down in all but one AR's zone. And on top of that, the 2.5 yr old take goes up by 50% but the 3 and 4 yr olds do not increase by a noticble margin.
