  1. Any one else ever loose inserts in a target like I used to with the Block? Man that ticked me off when that happened.
  2. To add to my last post, check the want ad's, you may find a deal there.
  3. I just bought a Stoeger o/u a couple weeks ago, I like and it was cheap ($300 used). The biggest difference is going to be fit, finish, weight and last but not least cost. I handled a few real nice costly guns at a friends, yes they felt better but they also cost way more than a Stoeger.
  4. So Goat and Chicken poo is ok, just not smoke. Ok got it. I had a neighbor burn a tub or something like it, whew that was bad.
  5. Was this a result of the years of kicking you in the butt causing damage? Hope she recovers quickly.
  6. Theres an image I didn't want in my frontal lobe....I picture Eddie not wearing undies with that outfit which was the worst part of all.
  7. Eddie, I have that exact sight and love it over all, I have had it for a year and have very few complaints. Personally I would have liked a .19 pin for twenty instead of .29 but I do ok reguardless.
  8. I used to use a block, and once I wore it out I made my own target. I use a box to contain the stuffing which is plastic bags and the old layers of the block that I disected when I was done. It works remarkably well, I will never buy another target again...well perhaps a 3-D some day.
  9. I seem to see this same thing from all over the state, small game numbers in general are really low. Good read Culver, thanks.
  10. I can only atest that in the last 13+ years of hunting in the Green county area of the Catskills I have seen exactly 1 and that was this year.
  11. Agreed, don't it make you feel special that you killed a doe though? lol
  12. Here is the post from fourseasons by the way... "Doewacker can you really come on here and say that you yourself have never filled a tag that was not yours or that you know of not one person that has done that??????? I highly doubt it. That crap happens all the time. I have done it before and i know of some that have done it this year. Is it my place to call them out?? No sir.. "
  13. Actually Culver, he is one of those guys, he admitted to the illegal transfer of tags in another thread a while back. I guess it was ok for him and not others. Anyway, the DEC only gets about a 6% return on doe permits issued through out the state. Pretty sad numbers really and it does make you wonder if it really matters who pulls the trigger on them. I prefer to follow the rules as I have enough headaches with out getting into trouble with the DEC.
  14. Man that stinks, if you did wrap it it would take you forever considering all of the smaller pieces of meat you would have to wrap sized for one person. I too would size it accordingly and just smash it with a meat mallet at cooking time. Save yourself some money.
  15. You also cannot make cash deals for tags, that is illegal.
  16. Be very carefull, she might shoot you, the chicken coop on the other hand is far enough away that she might not ever hear you clucking a hen.
  17. Or maybe he went against some real dummies, like me..lol
  18. Wouldn't it be, bee? Paula I would be concerned with Pygmy's statement here, I think he has carnal feelings for your dog. Keep an eye out for a little fat guy in the bushes dreesed as a rabbit.
  19. I would like to choose "No confidence", I vote for no one, they all suck. Santorum is out there to get his name out there for next time or the time after, thats all. Newt's ok, Paul is far to extreem for his own party, Romney will probly get the nod in the end.
  20. Otsego aswell, I don't hunt there much because its not so good. It is good for a long day of still hunting as there is alot of room to wander but this spreads the deer out over a few miles. There are however some very nice bucks there and lots of turkeys, and even a bear or two now and as NYbow said a healthy small game population.
  21. Congrats! and our spot in Worcestor is fantastic for turkey hunting. My favorite in fact, too bad its so far from my house.
  22. I have never had a 20 before, I will get to try it out this weekend. I just ordered up some birds for dog training last night, can't wait! If I don't hit much I am pre-blameing the gun now.

    Ice Fishing

I seen a small frozen lake around exit 33 of 87, nothing before then and not much any where, not even in Canada.
