Our politicians have f'ed us long ago, look at our history of recent presidents, its full of pot heads, coke heads, liars and cheats..and an actor for christ sake. This treaty deal does need to be watched but I did read that the NRA is at the talks so thats a good sign. The treaty as a whole is "supposed" to regulate arms deals between countries. To me that could be good but knowing how bad we are at getting things right it could also turn out bad. I don't want a Russian dude selling truck loads of arms to Iran or where ever, (although Iran contra was us, again Oliver North!) and I highly doubt that a international treaty could get through the system to be ratified into our government. Long ago they forgot that they work for us Culv, and I do believe that if they don't straighten out the debt ceing crap we are in for a changing country. (I know its a different subject/thread, sue me) Oh and I will eat a couple in your name!

Ok Culver I came home and looked, I have a Alfa MC5 grinder. All metal internals and still affordable. I am pretty sure I got mine for $140 with a discount but I think you could find one for around that. There are deffinetly stronger motor grinders out there but this one works.

Here is a site so you can get an idea of prices, I don't know anything about this company. http://www.jesrestaurantequipment.com/meat-processing-equipment-meat-grinder-units-c-305186_306354_306134.html

If you are in the Albany or Buffalo area stop in and see the folks at Buffalo Hotel Supply. http://www.buffalohotelsupply.com/ I bought from them as I deal with them, and got a decent one for @150-200 a couple of years ago (I'll look to see what it is). I would recomend going either commercial or commercial grade but the price may go up beyond $500 if you get to fancy. I would also go for more than 1/2 hp, not that you really need it but it doesn't hurt thats for sure. A good brand is Vollrath, but you will pay for it.

The point is Eddie you just never know if the guy is going to blast you or not if you piss him off. I agree with flipping out on a guy if you can tell he ain't a loon.

Localqdm, the shortness has taken me some getting used to also, I tend to tilt to the side but a sight level has corrected that issue. My old bow is alot longer axel to axel, but the good's far outweigh the bad's on the new one. I shoot really really well with the Parker, I would love a hoyt some day but I am to cheap for one now. -

Right now Matthews has excellent marketing, and good bows too, so people tend to think they will gain an advantge by buying one. Same goes for Hoyt or whom ever, you pay for marketing. Martin makes some good bows for the price too and are worth a look. It don't matter how much you pay for it, its how you shoot it that counts. -
I thought I remembered that part of the story but wasn't sure, I know it was a locals vs foreigners thing in the area. I know personally I have meet some guys that I got away from real quick after talking to them because they seemed kooky.
-
I think I recall that story, and if I remember correctly the guy was a nut. Here's the link to that story.. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,139239,00.html

Same here, got it last year from Gander as a hold over for $294. Can't beat it for that price. -

Yea what he said...the only dofference between a high dollar bow and a cheaper one is price and marketing if you ask me. Watch for brace hight as the higher the number there will allow more forgiveness which is important to a new shooter. My Parker has 7 3/4 inch brace while some of the speed freak bows are much less. Good luck... -
Well if you are killing doe's then that comment doesn't apply to you eh? I bet they taste real good all BBQ'ed up with those sauce's you got.

You mean you see a neck? All I see is the rack! JK...that joke can be used on other things too.
