There are none in our main spot in 4S, but plenty acrossed the line in 4T. I see there is a high chance to the south of my home area too so I guess I need to stay home to hunt some. Or Steve, one of the nice guys out in the western part of the state could offer us a place to fill a permit..hint hint haha

So what ny hunter is saying is this guy is on his punch in the face list. I'll put him on mine too just in case.

Thats it I'm finding a new spot to hunt where there are permits!

Joking aside this is an important time for our country, it makes me hate politicians more and more every day to watch them ALL waste time. The sames ones that had no problem voting for a debt ceiling raise last time are fighting it this time because it is important to their re-election, god forbid any of them cut spending to any of their pet projects ever.

Did any one else catch that vjp posted a article written by Oliver North, the guy that got nailed in the Iran Contra scandal? How funny is it that he of all people is mad that they want to regulate international arm's trade? lol I can see why you guys don't want to regulate who sells guns to countries that hate us, that makes sense.

All those proposed methods are just like you say... case scenario's... which may someday be used in conjunction with hunting.. but will never replace hunting... because it has been proven that hunting is by far the best method for animal conservation... look it up.. it's fact... not my opinion I know its a fact thats why I said it!

That is the only way I bowhunt... I have been able to sneak up with my recurve on dozens of smaller bucks and have had some as close as 5-10 yards, but it is extemely tough for getting 20 yards and in on a big buck... I have gotten to within 30-40 yards many times and 25 yards once in 11 years... and I am still looking forward to killing my first buck with the recurve. Thats funny cause his was 30 yards, I had one come in to 20 once but couldn't get a shot because of a tree and on account of him running in to a grunt call so fast. I am still looking forward to getting a shot at nice one with my bow.

Wow that sounds like good product Culv. Any updates on the floor WNY? I recall a news story about the fumes that come off of the particle boards in campers and how people were getting sick when they were living in them long term after Katrina. Scary stuff.

What kind of camo do you suppose a guy would need for city hunting? Lamp post and sidewalk pattern?

"I am sure they account for a lot of dead deer that go unreported." That would be a reason for the dec to leave them alone, they are very good at killing fawns and controlling the deer herd.

Thats right, my brother is the buck killer of the family. He actually shot a doe with the bow a few years ago cause he was afraid of me yelling at him for not killing it. Some one has to put meat in the freezer, I can't do all the work! Oddly enough that day I got a buck after he got the doe...lol

"That probably went right over your head" Much like your arrows when shooting at a deer, In our one spot, I would pass on the buck to get a shot at the doe, sort of reverse, but the doe there are alot bigger than the scrubby bucks that are running around. No lie either, I shot a 135 pound doe a couple of years ago there. I would rather shoot the big doe's.

Ok Burt steve and I are at your service once again. We are allways willing to help a fellow hunter out of a jam. Usually we just need GPS coordinates and a good stand set up, and maybe some egg sanwhiches in the morning and we will be there. lol

So are you telling us that you don't wear Scentlok garments like T-Bone on the other thread?? I guess we know what he means when he says "passing" on deer...ewww them are some stinky, tainted deer you got there Burt.

I think we have a better chance of escaping unscathed if he actually does aim at us. No telling where the bullets or arrows might go if he is aiming at something else. This is true, its a proven fact that guys that pass on deer all the time can't hit squat. Really when I hear a guy say I coulda shot this or that, I chuckle, because while they are passing all of the deer I am shooting them and geting more experience at hitting stuff..lol jk Burt!

Do you think that bow hunters could increase their percentage by 25%. I know it was just an example but still? I am separating out the ML hunters by the way, I think that they should be included with Regular season numbers as they are guns and therefore much more effective.
