We got ahold of the land owner where we hunt, they got flooded as expected and lost alot of veggies but still has some of the other fields he plants. We are just thankfull he was ok, the water came up to the house about. It sure will change the hunting this year, it flooded last year and changed the deer patterns alot.

I bet ten bucks that we see some dope post a pic and a story of his crossbow kill in the wrong season. On topic, no I have no interest in one.

Wasn't too bad for us in Saratoga County, a few limbs down and some tree's in some place's but not terrible. We never lost power which was nice, others are still with out power. I have seen far worse damage from ice storms.

I'll be in that part of the state on at least the 17th for a bird hunt/training with a buddy, the family may come along and camp, we'll see. He lives in Groton and I have no clue where we would camp? That looks to be nearly two hours from that place. 4 hr drive, I checked..lol

It doesn't matter where he lives, you can't shot a buck and go back and shot another buck in a different area. Any way you shake it he did something wrong, either no tag on the first, or some one elses tag. The "bonus" tags are only obtainable if you shot a doe first, to the best of my knowledge. And even if he did get that magic bonus tag, it would have to be used in that bow only area, which he clearly states he was not in on the second buck. Case closed.

So now you are assuming he shot a doe first? Come on. You can't shot a buck and get a replacement tag for another buck.

Bonus permit is an "any deer will do" tag...mature buck, doe, button, etc. It's not the run of the mill DMP. "Bonus Permits" will be available to hunters who take an antlerless deer in one of those units on a Deer Management Permit (DMP) or a Bonus DMP for that unit "Bonus DMPs used to take an antlered deer will not be replaced." What does that say?

Here is what needs to happen, Burmjohn needs to provide his info to DEC and let them see if he reported the two kills first, if he didnt they can and will do their job and investigate.
